Job DescriptionRole Summary

The GMP Leadership Development and Special Projects Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Global Mobility team is in the best possible place to execute on the Global Mobility Strategy. This includes management of all GMP training & development on policy & technology, providing PX/BX/policy support to smaller countries, developing a culture of continuous improvement for the team, country team performance/peer review feedback, allowance administration support (as required), GDPR guidance and PMO of global/special projects as they arise.

Key accountabilities
25% - Development & deployment of GMP training & development on policy & technology
25% - Policy support and guidance (e.g. PX/BX/policy support to smaller countries, GDPR guidance)
25% - Developing a culture of continuous improvement for the team, with structures and mechanisms in place to receive and act on feedback
15% - Management of country team performance/peer review feedback
10% - Project Management Office (PMO) for GMP projects and initiatives

Key activities and deliverables


GMP training & development
Development & deployment of GMP training & development on policy & technology
- Development of relevant GMP training & development on policy & technology, ensuring the Global Mobility team has the required support to effectively do their jobs. Coordinate as necessary with Mobility Solutions, BX and PX leads
- Design and implement process for on-boarding new members to the team, ensuring they quickly gain access to relevant programs / systems and the knowledge to use them

Policy support & guidance
Provide relevant policy support on guidance to both the Global Mobility Team as well as in-country teams, with a particular focus on the smaller countries.
- Work closely with the Global Mobility Lead on policy and process continuous improvement, taking a lead on all day-to-day policy management / alignment
- Effectively engage internal stakeholders on PX/BX policies and provide relevant training and support on execution no these policies
- Provide guidance on importance and relevance of GDPR for the team

Continuous improvement culture
Develop a continuous improvement culture with the Global Mobility team
- Introduce relevant mechanisms to support a continuous improvement culture, focused on being able to openly and honestly provide feedback and suggestions for improvements

Country team performance / peer review feedback
Management of country team performance/peer review feedback
- Work with the Global Mobility Lead to develop a dashboard capturing in-country team workload, survey scores, peer feedback and other relevant measures of performance

Project Management & Delivery
Successfully project manage special projects within the Global Mobility team, including:
- Ownership of project plan, mapping out of deliverables and deadlines and producing status updates for key stakeholder audiences
- Management of regular team meetings, writing agendas and minutes, tracking workstream status, flagging risks and identifying opportunities for alignment
- Budget management, ensuring items are accurately recorded and tracked

Compliance & Risk
Adherence to KPMG risk management and policy requirements

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Experience and knowledge in the field of Global Mobility
- Experience of leading cross-border service delivery teams in global mobility
- Understanding of Tax and Immigration legislation, as well as relevant employment law and other business or economic forces
- Ability to apply relevant technical knowledge (e.g. tax / legal / employment law) to business needs
- Able to review calculations and work prepared by others
- Understanding of global technology tools
- Advanced influencing and facilitation skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Description of level of Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, HR/organisation psychology or a related field
- Professional post-graduate qualification preferred

Experience & Knowledge

- Proven ability to communicate and deliver a Global Mobility strategy.
- Experience working in a complex international or diverse cross-cultural environment ideally gained in a professional services firm
- A track record of development of and implementing forward-thinking global mobility plans and initiatives that have a lasting impact on the organisation and its operating performance
- Experience of transformational change within organisations or teams arising from the introduction of new technologies or processes, ideally with experience of managed collaboration to effect the transformation
- Comfortable with complexity and finding a new path or solution coupled with strong business acumen
- Strong influencing skills, an ability to articulate clear, compelling ideas and to persuade others to take action; confident and effective interacting with senior business leaders
- Collaborative and with the ability to establish and build strong, professional relationships both internally and externally
- Strong leadership skills and team and people development skills, role modelling ethical and collaborative working, and able to foster a creative and inclusive working environment
- Strong client service orientation
- Willingness to travel internationally
