Job DescriptionKPMG's Compliance & Transformation practice is an exciting key area of growth within the firm and is a national team which works with clients to manage their tax (Corporate and Indirect) and statutory obligations across their business, which is increasingly key in today’s challenging environment. Services are provided to a broad range of clients across all sectors from the largest FTSEs or inbounds to mid-market companies and include Global Compliance Management Services, Audit and Accounting Related Tax Services, Tax Transformation, Governance and Process Improvement, Outsourcing and Business Technology, as well as other exciting priority areas for our clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Providing support in managing global tax compliance service engagements on a mix of listed and non-listed multinational groups;
- Builds and develops positive constructive relationships inside KPMG
- Assessing problems from multiple angles to ensure all relevant issues are considered when making decisions
- Proactively driving forward new and creative ideas which benefit the client;
- Supporting colleagues with developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients;
- Supporting colleagues with managing clients' tax compliance needs;
- Supporting the delivery of tax compliance engagements and helping to manage compliance outsourcing contracts, incl. the co-ordination of contracts with clients and also within KPMG's global network, financial management etc.
- Supporting colleagues with responding to client requests for ad hoc tax technical advice;
- Supporting the delivery of tax transformation projects, including tax function design; tax operating model design; governance and risk management; processes and controls.
- Mapping and evaluating clients' tax processes to help identify areas of risk, along with areas of potential improvement.
- Helping clients to drive efficiency through their tax compliance process, by improving controls, and leveraging technology;
- Supporting on sales activities by working with more senior members of the team to generate additional work opportunities for both existing clients and targets, supporting proposals and propositions across functions, sectors and accounts;

Qualifications and Skills

- ACA or CTA qualified (or part qualified) – preferred but not essential
- Experience of tax compliance and tax advisory work
- Interest in processes and technology
- Project management/co-ordination skills and experience;
- Good interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear;
- Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
- Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience.
