Roles and Responsibilities
As part of this role, you can expect to:


Client Delivery


• Lead / support workstreams on IFRS 17 projects/programmes


• Work in a project environment and manage client staff, contractor staff and KPMG employees as part of blended teams with oversight.


• Support design and delivery of people, process, data and/or system solutions.


• Independently produce analysis and reports delivered to clients





Business Development


• Support the development of core IFRS 17 propositions


• Support the pursuit of business development opportunities including writing proposals.


• Demonstrate a keen commercial understanding, and the role KPMG can play in delivering market opportunities





Practice Development


• Support the development of processes and initiatives to scale delivery


• Lead/support the development of in-house solutions to support our key IFRS 17 propositions


• Support initiatives to grow and promote the practice internally and externally.





People Management


• Support the development of junior team members through formal training.




Qualifications and Skills/ Experience and Background
To succeed in this role, candidates typically have some insurance Industry experience, IFRS 17 experience (and/or insurance regulatory change) and knowledge of insurers’ finance and risk functions.

Understanding of IFRS17



Able to articulate the process, data and systems architecture that underpins the design of a IFRS17 reporting solution.

Aware of possible implications on roles and structures in the finance and actuarial function.

Understands the process and control change required

Additional skills & experience


Broad knowledge of the Finance function and Finance operating models

Experience working with senior stakeholders

Project management experience

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Ability to create and deliver high level presentations and output reviews to senior executives/stakeholders and business managers

Accountancy qualification
