KPMG’s CIO Advisory practice helps clients transform the way that the Tier 1 CIOs and their management teams set strategy, manage and deliver IT services. We do this through the following capability areas:

- IT Effectiveness

- Technology Architecture

- IT Sourcing



We are growing our Insurance and Investment Management team to meet an ever increasing demand for our market leading services, and are seeking IT management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.



The Role


- Drives forward pragmatic and creative solutions for clients that differentiate KPMG

- Operates as an ambassador for KPMG internally and externally

- Disseminates knowledge and expertise throughout the business

- Draws upon interdependencies between different functions to improve KPMG performance and effectiveness

- Invest in developing and retaining our most talented, motivated people and work closely with colleagues in Tech Enablement (Business Led Technology Change) and Customer Transformation teams to architect and deliver true end-to-end Digital Transformations.


Responsibilities:



KPMG are growing their Technology Architecture team in the Insurance and Investment Management Sector to respond to the increasing demand for cloud advisory services. In particular, we are seeking senior cloud technologists with strategy and/or architecture backgrounds and experience with public cloud.

Our clients have a wide range of choice in cloud and look to KPMG to develop robust and executable strategies which demonstrate how specific cloud technologies can be integrated (with appropriate tooling) to fulfil their business purpose. KPMG helps these organisations understand and evaluate their strategic options, build business cases, design the roadmaps to cloud and then continually optimise. We also have deeply skilled architects to support this journey, and make the path robust.

This is a Manager role and has three key areas of responsibility;

Responsible for delivering complex, multi-stakeholder advisory services around cloud platforms

Contribute to developing our market growth in cloud advisory

-

Contribute to our wider strong Technology Architecture capability group



To be effective in this role a Director is also required to demonstrate the following attributes and potential:

-

Experience of developing relationships at CxO level, creating solutions to client challenges and turning these into profitable engagements

-

Presence and reputation in the Insurance/Investment Management and / or IT Market

-

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders

-

Track record in leading delivery of complex engagements or teams

-

An ability to work autonomously and provide own drive and impetus

-

A track record of building, developing and motivating high performing teams

-

Experience of complex architectures in the I&IM space, particularly involving infrastructure cloud



Experience and Background:

-

A typical candidate would have experience working in IT leadership for a major General Insurance, Life Insurance or Investment Management organisation, consulting organisation or IT supplier, with proven experience of IT processes, systems and technologies. The candidate is expected to be able to lead Engagements, large workstreams / teams and lead Business Development activities.




Together we will:

- Deliver engagements ranging from Strategies and Interventions through to large scale IT / Technology Transformation programmes for the CIO and other CxO sponsors

- Shape solutions to address our client’s largest challenges and turn these into solutions and engagements for our team to deliver against

- Build [your personal and brand] presence and reputation in the Insurance Technology marketplace

- Shape and build a team around the intersection of your skills, client challenges and our Strategy
