The KPMG Infrastructure, Government, and Health practice is inspired by helping our clients join up their systems and information to help them improve and transform public services. There is an ever-increasing demand and opportunity to use data more effectively to improve the efficiency and outcomes of public services as well as improving the experience of citizens. Our IGH Data Analytics team helps our clients to better leverage their data, providing the insights and analysis that they need to better integrate and deliver health, social care, and justice services across geographies. We specifically help our customers to:
- Identify and evidence opportunities to operate more efficiently and reduce costs associated with the provision of care and services
- Support the delivery of our health, social care, and justice strategic plans
- Improve the understanding of population level (current and future) service demand and risk; and
- Support public services to bring together data held by different partners, providing a clearer picture of citizens challenges and use of services to support improved decision making.

The Team
We are a rapidly growing business that is looking for a technical leader to help us sustain our growth and to drive the design, technical development and delivery of insight platforms and products. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled enterprise and solution architects, analytics solution developers. decision scientists, and data analytics professionals, helping them to develop a product suite of Integrated Care Analytics Services, and providing transformational services to our public sector clients.
We expect or data analytics leaders to be established and recognised data analytics professionals with a successful track record of project delivery and relationship development. Our data leaders are advocates of the improved integration of Health, Justice, and Social Care services for all citizens and are adept at explaining and guiding clients to use their data more effectively for this purpose.

The Role
As a Director, you will be responsible for leading projects and programmes and coordinating project teams to deliver client outcomes. You will provide analytics and market expertise to help grow our IGH and specifically healthcare data analytics offerings across the UK. You will also contribute to the successful delivery of other KPMG services for the public sector while growing a core set of analytics services of your own related to analytics services, strategy and digital transformation.
You will have a key link to our health and care system redesign and provider improvement propositions, supporting those propositions with the right analytical capability to underpin transformation in the market.
You will build service offerings and take them to market, leading business development including managing bids and proposals and contributing to the development of KPMG’s services through knowledge management and methodology design.
You will be responsible for generating sales and leading successful delivery of engagements, taking ultimate responsibility for the quality of our work and client relationships.
You will manage teams of KPMG professionals on and off engagements, providing leadership and coaching to ensure excellent client delivery whilst enabling their future development.

The Person
- Substantial experience of healthcare analytics and deep competence in this area, with experience working in an acute trust analytics environment as well as experience working on wider healthcare system and regional analytics programmes.
- Professional data analytics and data strategy work experience integrating health, social care, and government data into analytics solutions;
- Additional experience in healthcare operational service management, performance management, provider improvement and transformation are desirable.
- Proven relationships with healthcare operational and analytical leads and understand their key improvement and data programmes. Further to this, the individual will also have established relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders including key central bodies like NHSE&I, NHS Digital and NHSX.
- Establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in healthcare programme delivery, particularly as this relates to analytics, care delivery, performance management and reporting, policy, information sharing and governance.
- Designing and/or assuring health and social care analytics offerings including outcome models, dashboards, and other tools
- Credibility in the market - must be able to credibly represent healthcare analytics to client executives in order to scope and win profitable work in the market themselves. This is critical to the future growth of the business over the next three years.
- Capable of collaborating and cross-selling, with experience of working with Alliance partners and technology vendors.
- Data modelling (SQL, Access) and/or visualisation experience (PowerBi, QlikView, Tableau)
- Data strategy and data governance experience
- Healthcare operational performance management reporting and analytics solutions development and implementation experience
- Experience in selling and delivering analytics services to the health market. including a track record of supporting revenue growth
- Ability to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way
- Ability to lead the development of sophisticated data analytics models
- A strong understanding of analytics, decision science, and strategy concepts
- Good understanding and visibility of current, emerging and future Healthcare market needs, helping our analytics practice develop new analytics propositions and offerings to the market; lead proposal development and participate in pitches
- Managing a team to deliver specific engagements and revenue targets at the practice level
- Helping to lead the development of the overall infrastructure, government and health analytics practice and to be an ambassador for U.K. analytics skills and experience within the wider global firm. Consulting and Commercial Skills
- Experience in a Professional Consulting Practice at a senior level
- Direct experience of solution shaping and analytics development during pre and post sales
- Ability to develop a customer and sales pipeline to achieve practice level sales targets
- Ability to identify patterns, trends and long-term possibilities; can create and shape a vision of the future that fits in with client’s long-term objectives and is able to articulate strategy to a wide audience.
- Core consulting skills including business process analysis, financial analysis, performance assessment, project management and risk assessment are desirable
- Ability to build and maintain strong networks of support both internally and externally and to forge effective partnerships for the continuous improvement of services.
- Ability to harness the full commitment and responsibility of key stakeholders. Strong influencing skills across a wide body of stakeholders.
- Resource and financial management skills to develop effective planning, financial management and reporting frameworks.
