The role can be based in anyone of our major offices in the UK (Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh/Glasgow) and will include travel; candidates must have a willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally on occasions, with the potential to be away from home for set periods of time.

The Role

- This role is to join the highly successful high growth Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) Consulting team at KPMG as a Director focussed on digital projects in the Health market. The role will specifically focus on transforming care through deploying technology to the market.
- This isn’t an advisory role. This role is about supporting healthcare systems to realise the value of digital transformation through delivery.
- The successful candidate will act as our day-to-day market lead on software enablement of healthcare operations and transformation. They will have deep expertise in healthcare systems architecture and be able to act as the enabler of operational transformation across care systems and within individual healthcare providers


- Revenue and Sales – Our intention is to build a software deployment and transformation business (including back office systems and cloud infrastructure) delivering £9m annual revenues within 3 years. This role will act as the fulcrum for delivering that revenue. With the support of other partners and directors this role will focus our efforts on delivering this revenue, therefore the successful candidate will have a proven track record of both selling and delivering software and technical infrastructure to the healthcare market.
- Be the face of KPMG with our technology partners, ranging from huge multi-national vendors to niche technology companies – this role will be the face of KPMG with the digital supply chain
- Creating multi-disciplinary teams to sell and deliver digital healthcare transformation projects.
Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members.

- Building and managing multiple client relationships.
- Project managing engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to include: scoping / financial management (budgeting) / engagement and risk management / production and review of deliverables.
- generation through actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal development and client presentations.
- Contributing to practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management.

The Person

We expect that you will have:

- Proven track record of both selling and delivering digital transformation and software enabled services to the healthcare market.
- Market Experience – The individual will have systems integration experience and will have worked extensively with software vendors, building added value solutions to the healthcare market. They will have deployed electronic patient records and will have a good grounding in hospital technology. They will have been there and done it in healthcare technology and be ready to build a business in KPMG.
- Vendor and Commercial management – the individual will have extensive experience in forming commercial partnerships with 3rd party software providers and jointly taking these to market.
- Leadership – the role will lead our diverse internal teams from a software and infrastructure perspective in healthcare. The successful candidate will need to leverage teams from existing capabilities to work in this market, as well as build a small and dedicated market facing group of specialists.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Their technical competence must be in Digital Healthcare software and infrastructure deployment.
- Credibility in the market - The successful candidate must be able to credibly represent Digital Healthcare to client executives in order to scope and win profitable work in the market themselves.
- Relationships – The Director appointed will have proven relationships with the regional and ICS CIO’s, and understand their key technology programmes. Further to this, the individual will also have relationships with the central bodies of NHS E&I, NHS Digital and NHSX.
