Working in the team will mean getting involved in a broad range of projects, i.e. Fraud investigations, and tracing assets.

Job Description
The Team

Upon joining KPMG's Financial Crime Technology team you will be delivering first rate technical solutions to clients. Your diverse combination of Financial Crime prevention experience, Sanctions technical skills, third party solution awareness, client contact, business development and project management will be at the heart of project delivery.

The team sits within KPMG’s Risk Consulting function that assists clients to assess, assure, review, test and improve their financial crime systems whilst using innovative Data Analytics tools and approaches.

You will be required to combine client delivery and technical Financial Crime knowledge, with Business Development, helping to build the wider financial crime team.

The Role

- Financial Crime knowledge: Using your existing Financial Crime knowledge and experience you will have the ability to specialise your skillset into; Sanctions screening propositions, Fraud detection and prevention system development, Market Abuse and regulatory breach monitoring and AML Transaction Monitoring scenario development.
- Risk management: You will collaborate in ensuring the Firm's risk management frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively.
- Project delivery: You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple client facing projects, being the primary point of contact for senior client contacts.
- Building relationships: You will sustain cohesive relationships with key client contacts and colleagues within KPMG.
- Growth and development: You will provide on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring that supports individuals’ development needs and encourages skills and knowledge enhancement.
- Team strategy: Working directly with directors and partners to develop and implement team strategy changes and growth.

The Person

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Experience of reviewing or implementing end-to-end sanctions screening solutions
- Thorough and implementable knowledge of AML and regulations, trends and legislative changes and updates.
- Experience of reviewing the processes connected to sanctions screening and/or Transaction Monitoring, from customer onboarding, KYC, due diligence, through to screening and alert review.
- An awareness of the market trends around configuration, calibration, tuning and testing of the software solutions used for customer and payment screening.
- Hands on experience in Sanctions projects involving SWIFT messages, customer data sanctions list management and streamlining, good guy list development, sanctions screening and rules development.
- Development and enhancement of analytical solutions with the use of the following; SQL Server, Oracle, SAS, Tableau, Python, Qlikview etc.


- Experience in major investigations, preferably leading the technology and data work streams of these projects and interacting with senior client contacts including MLRO’s, Legal Counsel and CROs.
- Experience in the development of technology solutions for KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, Payments Screening, Name Screening and/or Fraud prevention.
- Use and/or knowledge of industry-wide systems such as; Oracle Mantas, Actimize, BAE Systems (NetReveal), Siron.
- Understanding or experience in the following Markets:
– Customer Risk Assessment;
– Fraud;
– Market Abuse or;
– Transaction Monitoring systems and scenario implementation and development.
- An understanding of the technical infrastructure for payment processing within Retail, Commercial and Investment Banking environments.


- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience.
- Provides on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring that supports individuals’ development needs and career aspirations.
- Actively engages in cross-functional communications and champions knowledge sharing.
