The Financial Crime Data Analytics team is a key contributor to the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives. We have achieved rapid year-on-year growth since the team’s inception and have set ourselves ambitious targets to maintain the momentum. Our work is varied and covers all areas of financial crime, including sanctions, CDD, transaction monitoring and fraud.

We are now looking for experienced managers to work closely with our clients, manage an array of projects, and contribute to the development of our innovative and market-leading solutions.


Responsibilities

• Financial crime and technical knowledge: You will provide subject matter expertise to our clients in one or more of the following areas: sanctions screening, fraud detection and prevention, market abuse and regulatory breach monitoring, transaction monitoring, and CDD.
• Proposition development: You will use your industry experience to develop financial crime-focussed propositions that address the regulatory and commercial challenges of our clients.
• Development of our talent: You will be a role model for our junior team members and encourage the development of relevant skills and knowledge.
• Risk management: You will identify and appropriately manage risk, ensuring the Firm's risk management frameworks are implemented effectively.
• Engagement delivery: You may be required to work across multiple projects, with the responsibility of managing teams, timelines and budgets.
• Building relationships: You will acquire and maintain cohesive relationships with key client contacts and colleagues within KPMG.
• Market awareness: You will continue to grow your industry knowledge through observations of market trends, competitor activity, and current/future products and services.


Required Experience and Qualifications

This exciting role will fully utilise your financial crime knowledge and analytical skills. Strong technical skills are essential, as candidates will be expected to develop solutions either individually or as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate broad experience in a number of the following areas:
• A demonstrable understanding of the current challenges affecting financial institutions in the financial crime space and how they use technology used to combat them.
• A commercial understanding of how financial crime technology teams operate within financial institutions, their drivers and their challenges.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and projects in client facing environments.
• A proven ability to develop client relationships and maintain professional networks.
• An in-depth understanding in at least one of the following areas of financial crime: sanctions, transaction monitoring, CDD or fraud.
• A solid understanding of control systems and feedback loops.
• Designing and reviewing data processes to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Other related data management experience in data governance, data standards documentation, data quality and data integration.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identifying patterns within data to generate business insight.
• Strong technical skills (e.g. experience using SQL, SAS, Python, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience.
