The Team – National Markets Consulting
The Cyber team is an integral part of our rapidly growing National Markets Consulting practice. As a multi-disciplinary practice we deliver a comprehensive range of consulting services that our clients demand. Our Cyber specialists deliver a number of service lines to our clients.

The Role
The role will be working in the Cyber department within the Risk Consulting practice within the London National Markets team. Information Protection is one of the areas which KPMG has identified for tremendous investment and growth. You will be responsible for assessing, developing and delivering complex and innovative solutions whilst reducing reputational, operational, financial and other risks for our clients.

The department is split across a number of different service lines, these are:
- Strategy and Security Transformation
- IAM
- CMA, 3rd Party Assurance and Certification
- Business Resilience
- ICS
- Records Management
- Privacy

As a security consultant, you will have the opportunity to work across all of the service lines and to deliver key projects with their clients.

Responsibilities
- Delivery of security related assurance and advisory services to clients within the above areas
- Project management of small engagements and end-to-end and support on larger engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to include:
o Scoping
o Financial management
o Engagement and risk management
o Production and review of deliverables.
- Liaising with clients on delivery, implementation and sales issues.
- Developing constructive client relationships, both inside and outside of KPMG.
- Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge

The Person
- Proven experience in an information security consultancy role or an information security role in industry.
- Proven ability to identify and assess complex information protection risks and controls.
- Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.
- Experience in and an understanding of the Cyber risks faced by clients within a specific industry and the impact to their business
- A genuine interest and desire to work in the information security field.

Qualifications and Skills
- Degree level qualified, MSc in Information Security, IT or relevant subject (preferred)
- Working towards a recognised information security qualification (eg CISSP, CISM, M. Inst IISP, etc)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation and project management skills
