Job Title: Corporate Sales Analyst

Service Line Information: The Sales Analyst will support the Sales Operations Manager and HOPO with the efficient and effective provision of management information, reporting & analysis to support the end-to-end sales and revenue process across the Coverage.

Roles and responsibilities

Initially as a 6-month full term contract. Would suit someone who can demonstrate advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse large sets of data.

• Develop and produce sales operations MI, evolving throughout the year as per business requirements such as the client dashboards, weekly Forecast file, monthly pipeline model
• Responsible for updating UK Corporates sales pack
• Prepare and validate the Sector, Priority and Managed dashboard and work with the Sales Operations team, Finance and Client relationship team
• Monthly Trend analysis - provide insight on wins vs revenue monthly rate, opportunities created by service line, losses and prediction of forecast accuracy based on prior six months data.
• Analyse Corporates pipeline of opportunities; ensuring that the data is as accurate as possible, and understanding current position of material opportunities
• Monitor and analyse the Corporates pipeline, identifying trends on sales and opportunities from both a market trend and sector trend
• Analyse forecast revenue (won not yet delivered) with actuals. Highlight to Sales Operations Manager general concerns/updates regarding performance against budget
• Analyse sales and revenue data to enable effective sales and revenue forecasting for the Segment, including pipeline, won not yet delivered, etc.
• Take action to improve accuracy/effectiveness, liaising as appropriate with Sector Execs and Finance. Key aim is to improve accuracy and ensure timely action is taken if forecast suggests up- or down-turn
• Ensure timely and appropriate follow up on actions and updating SAP/MSD. Work with Engagement Managers to ensure accurate reporting on pipeline, especially as this relates to forecasting performance. Timely escalation of issues/opportunities to Finance Managers
• Analyse overall Segment, Sector, Priority and Managed account performance to key performance indicators including revenue, EP, sold backlog, pipeline etc.
• Assist with analysis and MI for the Segment to review and drive actions to be taken to achieve the Corporates target
• Maintain the Corporate shared drive: assisting Sales Operations Manager with the maintenance of weekly files; ensuring that business development and other files are complete and up to date; undertaking routine “spring cleaning” of the shared drive;
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Essential skills required

• Financially literate and numerate
• Power Point - basic level
• Willing to be flexible around the type of work involved in and prioritisation of work
• Strong interpersonal skills including influence and persuasion
• Strong organisational skills and a self-starter
• Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
• Excel - advanced level including:
- VLOOKUP
- INDEX & MATCH
- SUM and COUNT functionality
- Date manipulation
- Pivot tables
- Graphing data
