The Team

Contract Performance and Insight
The CP&I team helps organisations gain clarity regarding their current position against contractual obligations. Where contracts require self-reporting on a trust basis, either or revenue or of purchase requirements, KPMG can help to independently evaluate whether the self-reporting is accurate and a fair reflection of the parties’ obligations. To do this KPMG works closely with the contracted parties and provides independent validation of reporting. The result of our work allows contractual parties to normalise any inconsistencies and/or provides assurance over the basis of future self-reporting.



The Role

You will work as a Manager within the KPMG team delivering engagements related to software license compliance and / or software asset management.

The role will include:

• Acting as an Engagement Manager leading teams to deliver engagements, reporting to a KPMG senior manager or director.
• Running a portfolio of projects with competing priorities. Handling all aspects of Engagement Management including risk management processes and financial management.
• Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realise their full potential.
• Working with a mix of onshore and offshore resources to deliver projects. Allocating work and managing its delivery based on availability, skillset and risk considerations.
• Developing work plans to achieve the contracted scope and leading teams to execute those work plans.
• Responsible for managing timeline and budgets.
• Liaising with client contacts to
• Providing technical domain expertise relevant to the assigned engagements.
• Researching solutions to technical challenges and contractual ambiguities.
• Quality assuring the team’s work before issue of deliverables.
• Supervising the preparation of reports and other client deliverables
• Building relationships with our client to deliver excellent service, thereby helping to build our business.
• Identifying and implementing process and methodology improvements and efficiencies
• Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects in order to meet profitability targets.
• Pursuing opportunities to increase our business with the client.
• Involvement with sales generation activities, including contributing to RFP responses, and scoping new solutions and offerings.



The Individual
Desirable characteristics:
• Have obtained a degree or relevant qualification/experience.
• Have a proven track record in either a software compliance audit or software asset management role.
• Have strong knowledge of IBM licensing rules and product portfolio.
• Demonstrate a strong general understanding of information technology.
• Demonstrate a track record of developing successful relationships with key stakeholders.
• Be a highly motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills. Native level English language skills.
• Have experience of managing and coaching more junior team players.
• Have outstanding Microsoft Excel skills.
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise, delegate and manage delivery using a team.
• Demonstrate persistence and tenacity.
• Have the confidence to solve problems and to fill gaps in technical knowledge by questioning, collaborating with others and researching technical and contractual documentation.
• The ability to build a network within the global team and draw upon expertise where required.
• The ability to consult and build consensus to improve process maturity and standardisation.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work
• Be commercially aware and have a willingness and enthusiasm for business development
