Job Title: Commercial Pricing Manager
Grade: Grade B
Location: London, Canary Wharf

Function Information

Team within Market Development which develops and enhances commercial management and discipline throughout of KPMG.
Role and Responsibilities

- Create and implement appropriate pricing strategies which constantly support commercial organic growth of revenue and margin, maximise market pricing potential relative to KPMG brand, service offering and client value.
- Be KPMG’s “go to” pricing champion
- Establish pricing processes supporting:
- Annual Pricing Increases (API)
- Pricing of new market solutions / offerings
- Pricing models, including Time and Materials, Fixed Fee Risk Reward / Contingent, Managed Services, Digital Solutions
- Pricing Key Performance indicators – produce performance dashboard
- Identify different pricing scenarios according to client profile, industry, engagement size and service type.
- Guide and influence Performance Group leaders on appropriate market pricing / models for their client solutions
- Establish and manage Firm pricing databases
- Manage annual price adjustment review and implementation
- Monitor adoption of discounting practices and pricing legacy issues.
- Leverage a pricing and profitability benchmarking database, according to prevailing client segmentation and solutions
- Document pricing principles guide
- Work with Commercial Managers to drive incremental pricing, revenue and profitability improvements
- Identify client specific “deficient” pricing and profitability arrangements and proposed corrective actions
- Create rationale for pricing positions
- Attend client commercial briefings and negotiations occasionally to understand perspectives, offer pricing insights and guide future pricing strategy.
- Undertake a review of the scale rate discounts applied and compare to engagement/job profitability and identify trends/issue areas.
- Consider pricing tools, develop and present compelling investment case
Market Development support

- Provide assistance to the Head Commercial Management on ad hoc requests including strategy papers, presentations and internal function matters (for example wider staff issues and spend control activities)
- Degree

- Strong excel skills
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and related management tools

Stakeholder Management

- Reporting into Managing Director, Commercial Management, this person will have a track record of effective stakeholder management, able to demonstrate influence and appropriate gravitas towards the KPMG UK Partner Group
- Extensive interaction across Commercial Management team, with Finance, Partners and Client Service Teams
- Experience of working and dealing with Professional Services and the systems in place to capture engagement/client information – Essential
