Team overview



The capabilities within the Clara Analytics Team are vast as they are unique: from Innovations – spearheading the creation of audit applications such as the Inventory Count Tool, and Confirmations Tool, to the performance of D&A procedures by the ERP, General Ledger and Bespoke capabilities. At the face of the team, the Business Relationship Group bridge the gap between audit teams and D&A specialists – providing one point of contact for D&A interpretation, queries and support.



Whether it involves providing workshops to audit teams, presenting proof of concept solutions to leadership, or engaging in in-depth analysis using our market leading technology capabilities, the Clara Analytics Team leverages a wide variety of skillsets. There are technical specialists performing D&A procedures, and there are those with in-depth audit experience; some of us enjoy giving presentations, for others, their strengths lie in analysing complex datasets. Clara Relationship Manager – role overview:



The Business Relationship Group (BRG), within Clara Analytics, is looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team as a Relationship Manager.



The Clara BRG work alongside our largest audit engagements, and the Clara technical teams, to design and manage the delivery of technology and D&A. The role of a Relationship Manager is integral in ensuring that the work we perform for complex, multi-national audits, is enhancing the quality of our audit opinion, and/or driving audit efficiencies.



This role requires strong project management skills, proficient IT literacy (Excel & PowerPoint) and excellent oral & written communication skills. It is also important that our Relationship Managers have a logical mindset and a curiosity for exploring data, analysing trends and problem solving.



As you grow into the role, and further develop your skills and D&A knowledge, you will be encouraged to step up and work with your portfolio of audit teams to identify opportunities for further technology deployment, and design solutions & routines to meet bespoke engagement requirements that meet regulatory standards.



During quieter periods, Relationship Managers will have the opportunity to get involved with product development and innovation activities, ensuring that KPMG continues to be agile and develop market-leading solutions for national, and even global, deployment.



The Clara Analytics team is location-agnostic, with large hubs in London, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh. Having now embraced a hybrid working model, we are accepting applications to all UK locations and providing all team members with additional flexibility in where and how they work.




Responsibilities:


Independently managing the deployment of technology and D&A for a portfolio of complex audit engagements

Analysing outputs, deriving insights and identifying items for follow up testing

Performing initial reviews of D&A outputs and working alongside out technical teams to identify issues and inconsistencies that need to be solved before sharing the analysis

Presenting the analysis to the audit teams, using visualisation applications where possible (PowerBI, Celonis, Excel Pivots)

Summarising insights, results & findings and generating reports/slide decks suitable for presenting to Senior Management & Audit Committees

Supporting audit teams with data extractions & establishing a process for data-sharing with the audited entity

Preparation of D&A documentation and ensuring the audit team have appropriate file documentation & have complied with mandatory requirements

Preparing budgets and monitoring engagement finances, overruns & delivery timelines


The Person:


Logical mindset and a curiosity for exploring data, analysing trends and problem solving.

Experience working on the delivery of financial statement audits

Strong project management skills

Proficient IT literacy (Excel & PowerPoint)

Excellent oral & written communication skills

Understanding of common business processes and how data analytics can provide valuable business insights

Ability to work as part of a wider national team spread across a global network

Ability to manage multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines

CA/ACA qualification

Preferred, but not essential:

Experience delivering D&A on an audit engagement
