Job Description
Please note this role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract

The Consulting Quality and Risk Management team provides a unified and consistent service across Consulting, reporting to Simon Gilbert the Head of Quality and Risk Management Consulting. The team supervises levels of quality and compliance achieved in delivering our client work, interacting directly with the leaders of those engagements and our Risk Management Partners.

The team currently has a vacancy for a Manager. The role is available as a secondment (minimum commitment 12 months). The role will provide a deep understanding of the way we manage and control our business. It will involve contact with a wide range of MC/RC partners and senior staff. The role is available to support one of the MC Capability groups.

Key Responsibilities


- Provide QRM support, advice, oversight and feedback to the business on risk management process/governance.
- Provide direct proactive support to Business Unit Risk Management Partners, undertaking delegated tasks as agreed with the individual BURMPs.
- Act as a Supporting Engagement Leader to assist provisionally accredited Engagement Leaders.
- Define, publish and communicate localised policy, guidance, tools and advice and achieve a good quality of effective communication with the business.
- Maintain good relationships with key internal stakeholders (central, leadership, risk partners, finance, etc).
- Any other tasks that may reasonably be required.
Key skills and competencies required

- Ability to communicate proactively with senior personnel.
- Ability to learn and understand the detail of risk management policy, assess queries and situations in relation to this and guide others in its application.
- Working in a matrix structured team, assisting with and prioritising between multiple activities.
- Good skills with standard office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Good grasp of KPMG’s policies and in house risk management tools (SAP, Sentinel and CEAC).
