UK Quality & Risk Management teams help to set, implement and enforce policies and procedures designed to help to enable KPMG UK and its personnel to achieve the following key objectives: (i) oversee and monitor service quality, (ii) protect the brand and reputation of KPMG, (iii) comply with laws, (iv) regulations and professional standards, and (v) minimize the risk of financial claims against KPMG UK.

Job Description
The role is a core part of our risk control framework and governance process. The role involves maintaining and managing the risk register for two advisory functions (Consulting, Solutions & Digital) and driving the business to ensure key controls are operating effectively. The role requires the ability to identify and articulate risk and understand mitigating controls. You will gain a deep understanding of the business and how we manage risk throughout. Candidates will need to be self-organised and able to liaise with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the respective Consulting and Solutions & Digital risk boards; tasks include:

o Meetings: agenda, compile and issue papers, track action items, minutes
o Risk register(s) and watch list: maintain register, liaise with risk owners for updates, monitor progress of actions, timetable and track reviews
o Risk attestations: prepare and submit on behalf of leadership
o Delivery Assurance Reviews (internal control on in-flight projects): monitor completion & collate results, track action items, consider thematic & portfolio issues arising, maintain methodology/templates
o Maintain and monitor board’s focus and actions for the year

- Provide QRM support, advice, oversight and feedback to the business on risk management process/governance
- Collate data, prepare MI and reports on risk and compliance issues
- Provide direct proactive support to QRM Partner and leadership team as required
- Maintain good relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Any other tasks that may reasonably be required.

Key skills and competencies required

- Ability to communicate proactively with senior personnel.
- Project management skills, ability to organise and manage workload
- Experience of risk and control frameworks
- Experience of MI and reporting
- Ability to learn and understand the detail of KPMG’s risk management policy

The role is available as a permanent position or internal secondment (minimum commitment 12 months). We would consider applications including flexible working arrangements.
