Business Transformation Manager

KPMG Boxwood is KPMG’s “Strategic, Enterprise-wide Business Transformation Centre of Excellence”. Our specialism is in partnering with client organisations to transform their overall business performance through the design and implementation of fundamental shifts in their business models and operating models. These changes strategically shift the client business in its markets, its relationships with customers, and its products. We take client strategies and work with them to implement them in practical, sustainable, value-adding ways.

We are looking for exceptionally talented Managers to join our team. These roles will typically be involved in two to three strategic transformation programmes per year across a range of sectors. At the same time you will be expected to drive forward IP development within the Centre of Excellence, mentor junior members of staff, develop your own capability, and foster and support the ever-developing KPMG Boxwood spirit and ethos.

KPMG Boxwood's Managers are passionate, collaborative and values driven. They are expected to work jointly with the client team and a diverse range of stakeholders. They need to be able to lead, coach, facilitate, cajole and persuade through genuinely exceptional interpersonal skills. No project is ever the same and our approach changes with every client meaning that our managers need to welcome ambiguity, be ever-creative and adaptive, and work with energy and pace.

Practical Experience:
Our work is complicated and specialist. We make a huge commitment to capability development in training and on the job, but we look for Manager candidates who have some of the “Been there; Done that”. As such we are looking for people who have demonstrated exceptionalism across the areas below.

• Experience in delivering large scale change / strategic business transformation programmes (as opposed to Functional Transformation specialists e.g. HR Transformation or IT Transformation)/. This may come from either industry or with a leading consultancy, which have made a strategic difference to your or your client’s business
• Experience of setting up, design and implementing business change programmes. You will have run workstreams undertaking the transformation
• Experience in more than one of the following subject areas: Strategy definition and business models; Operating model design and implementation; Change management methods; Digital transformation, technology and automation; Data analytics and business case creation
• Experience in multiple sectors & industries is desirable – eg: public/private, consumer, financial services, pharma, technology, media, infrastructure, energy, and utilities
• An excellent academic record, either at school, and university. MBA-type expertise is expected.

• Self-awareness; supportive of self and teams’ needs and learning styles with the skill to receive as well as to deliver constructive feedback
• Commercial acumen, analytic skills and proficient with numbers
• Flexible attitude towards working locations and patterns – mobile when needed
