These changes strategically shift the client business in its markets, its relationships with customers, and its products. We take client strategies and work with them to implement them in practical, sustainable, value-adding ways.

The Role
We are looking for exceptionally talented Assistant Managers to join our team. These roles will typically be involved in two to three strategic transformation programmes per year across a range of sectors. They may take responsibility for leading some workstreams within these programmes. They will work across a range of sectors whilst developing their capabilities across the business transformation agenda.

KPMG Boxwood’s Assistant Managers are passionate, assertive and values driven. They are confident in their ability to work in ambiguous environments, working jointly with the client team to overcome challenges and are experienced at working with, and facilitating, a diverse range of stakeholders.

We are looking for truly interesting people with a proven track record in project delivery, and an appetite to work on the resolution of complex business problems.

Practical Experience:
Our work is complicated and specialist. We make a huge commitment to capability development in training and on the job, but we look for Assistant Manager candidates who have some of the “Been there; Done that”. As such we are looking for people who have demonstrated exceptionalism across the areas below.
• Experience of working in large scale transformation programme environments. This may include setting up, design and/or implementing business change programmes. You may have run workstreams undertaking the transformation
• Experience at least one of the following subject areas: Strategy definition and business models; Operating model design and implementation; Change management methods; Digital transformation, technology and automation; Data analytics and business case creation
• Experience in at least one of the following sectors & industries is desirable – eg: public/private, consumer, financial services, pharma, technology, media, infrastructure, energy, and utilities
• An excellent academic record, either at school, and university. MBA-type expertise is expected.

• Interest in at least two of the following areas: Operating Model Design and Implementation, Change Management, Organisation Design and Development, Operational Improvement, Process Innovation, Financial Performance Improvement, International expansion / market development, Multi-channel / Omni-channel Strategy development and implementation
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables and the management of risk
• Self-awareness; supportive of self and team’s needs and learning styles with the ability to receive and deliver constructive feedback
• A pragmatic approach, with an ability to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
• Flexible attitude towards working locations and patterns – mobile when needed
