Business Development Director - Insurance

Background
The UK life /GI and pensions sector is now accustomed to change however the scale of the transformation still to come is significant. Many clients want to move towards a highly digitized and dynamic company, controlling vast amounts of data and using sophisticated analytics to personalize and target products and services. In addition, the UK insurance sector will need to consider the implications of these changes on their workforce in the future. Meeting the challenges ahead for many of our clients will require long-term financial investment, an innovative board and a willingness to work with policymakers to improve outcomes for customers.

Current Situation
The coverage team in the insurance sector consists of 2 partners, 3 directors and 1 manager. One of those 3 directors has left the business for industry and this role is looking to replace that individual. The coverage partners are client lead partners covering some of the priority and managed accounts and the BDD’s support other dedicated client lead partners on large multi-million pound accounts.

The Director needs proven business development skills and a record of driving revenue growth through:
-Developing and leading the relationship strategy across accounts, and the ability to build relationships at the most senior level of these accounts, including at board level.
-Developing sales propositions across the full range of KPMG capabilities and being able to manage complex sales and opportunities.
-As some of the accounts are Global, an ability to work with senior partners in other stakeholder firms (e.g. US and France) to ensure mutual benefit from global relationships and sales initiatives.

Clients
Target clients will be up to 3 priority accounts across the life and General insurance base and supporting the CLP on Aviva, BUPA and one other client. The prospects for these accounts are extremely bullish. We fully expect these accounts to generate significant revenues for the foreseeable future.
