Job DescriptionOur Corporates Assurance business works with a range of companies in different sectors, including those from the FTSE 100. We provide a broad range of Assurance (audit related) services both to audit and non-audit clients including:
- formal Assurance opinions under ISAE 3000
- grant claims Assurance
- ad hoc Agreed Upon Procedures (AUPs)
- Assurance required by regulations (e.g. in the energy sector)

To support our objective of centralising and growing our Assurance work across Corporates Audit we have fantastic opportunities for Managers to join our team. They will be responsible for delivering these engagements from within an exciting and newly formed Assurance hub.The role can be fulfilled flexibly (both timing and location) based on arrangements to be agreed.

Areas of responsibility

Engagement set up and delivery:

- Managing day to day tasks in planning a variety of Assurance engagements, including: agreeing engagement logistics directly with clients, completing engagement and client acceptance procedures and drafting engagement letters.
- Managing a team of assistant managers and juniors who will be delivering the Assurance engagements.
- Preparing the final Assurance reporting for review, including liaising with Audit Risk management.

File preparation and reviews:

- Reviewing work performed by on-shore and off-shore Assurance teams, documented in e-AudIT file (KPMG’s electronic audit file)
- Liaising with Partner/Director/Senior Manager for file review and to clear queries
- Developing template e-AudIT files for different types of Assurance engagements


- Developing the skills and experience of the offshore delivery team
- Developing and improving the standardised Assurance work programmes
- Supporting Assurance director and senior managers to identify and pursue opportunities to win new Assurance engagements

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or international equivalent
- Recent and extensive experience with reviewing and developing Audit/Assurance working papers at Manager level in either a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, or escalate as appropriate.
- Well-developed team management and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team and lead by example
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals (internal and external) at different levels of seniority, both in writing and verbally.
- Self-driven and resilient.
- Strong project management techniques including analytical skills, time management, prioritisation, organisation and evaluative skills.
- Very good IT literacy, including Excel and Word.
- The desire to work in a diverse environment and undertake new challenges.
- Strong ability to monitor and uphold high quality of service to clients (internal and external).
