The Team

Investment in sports sponsorship is growing globally. The industry is changing rapidly, with the evolution of new consumption channels, technology, new sports (e-sports) and increasingly complex commercial arrangements. At the same time, businesses are facing increasing demands from stakeholders for measurement and accountability for sponsorship spending. The value of sponsorships needs to be understood, quantified and optimised.

We are looking to hire an experienced individual to build our sponsorship valuations practice. The role would be at Associate Director level, based in London.

Key responsibilities include the following:

- Development and maintenance of Return on Investment assessment and Return on Objective frameworks/models
- Driving origination/sales of services related to sponsorship appraisal through internal and external networks
- Leading client conversations and meetings on sponsorship evaluation
- Using own initiative and sound judgement to identify key issues and client needs, developing suggested evaluation methodologies and approach, elevating and consulting with other team members as required
- Providing guidance and mentoring for junior team members
- Producing written reports tailored to client’s specific needs and requirements on the project
- Review of client deliverables
- Performing detailed cost and market analysis of capital assets;
- Analysing fixed asset registers and asset information;
- Conducting data modelling and asset analysis ;
- Capturing asset analysis into report documents;
- Managing multiple engagements, workflow and activities of junior staff;

Skills, qualifications and experience required

- Significant experience within sports consultancy and/or sponsorship evaluation
- Degree level qualification, relevant professional qualification
- Understanding of the range of Return on Investment assessment frameworks, Return on Objective or similar evaluation models including demonstrable experience in calculating reach, activation and conversion, indirect and direct value calculations.
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, confidence and solid influencing skills
- Confident communicator, capable of leading client conversations and interactions
- Ability to relate sponsorship analysis to the wider commercial context
- Good quantitative and Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to deliver high quality presentations and analysis
- Project management skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work
- English-language written and oral communication skills
- Excellent people skills and ability to mentor and develop more junior colleagues
