We are offering a unique opportunity to gain experience of the energy sector in a multi-functional team working across a range of policy, strategic, commercial and transactional mandates. In addition to this, you will be an energy sector expert who can support other KPMG functions such as M&A, TS, Restructuring and Valuations, so the ability to be collaborative is key.

The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple engagements and functions at any given time, driving the ENR Deal Advisory practice through high quality deliverables and key business development initiatives.
We require someone who can demonstrate leadership skills and naturally takes on responsibility and accountability for key projects. The ideal candidate will be able to provide direction for our Managers, Associates and Analysts whilst at the same time demonstrating the mentality to challenge Directors and Partners in the team when appropriate to do so.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and delivering on Energy Deal Strategy engagements:
- Taking on Project Management responsibility for the delivery of multiple projects or work streams simultaneously; including client engagement, managing resource and commercial aspects of those engagements
- Effective management, coaching and mentoring of junior staff on specific engagements.
- Establishing new relationships with target clients and key energy market stakeholders.
- Provide original insight into key market issues and developing market intelligence and sector knowledge.
- Owning proposals for new business opportunities in the Energy sector.
- Accountable for internal KPMG Risk and Finance processes relevant to projects.
- Performance management for junior members of the team
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in the Energy sector – desirable but not essential
- Strong project management skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work and successful commercial outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and confident engaging with and presenting to clients and senior KPMG stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to deliver high quality presentations and analysis
- Ability to demonstrate people and project management experience.
