Associate Director, MPA Cost Engineer

You will have significant experience in the construction industry. Will have spent a large part of their career working with an engineering consultancy or similar organisation, with a mix of technical, commercial and project management experience. Likely to be working in a project consultancy/management role rather than as a technical specialist.
Should have had a senior role on at least one large project.
Experience of working on the client side and working directly with clients, at several stages of project development from Business Case to delivery. Will have interacted with clients at a senior level, presenting reports etc.
Ideally, also some practical experience of working on construction projects, through working for a Contractor and/or Project Management company (maybe during training period).

Essential experience:
• Led consultant teams/managed projects
• Led proposal development and submission for a range of bids
• Involvement with scheme development, including Business Case development, developing requirements, providing cost estimates etc.
• Project cost estimating, cost modelling, lifecycle/whole life costing
• Risk management and risk analysis
• Knowledge of construction contracts

Desirable experience:
• Procurement of construction contracts (such as document development, PQQ, tender analysis etc.)
• Project management during delivery/construction
• Project schedule development
• Assurance or other types of reviews of projects
