Job Description
Overview:

KPMG’s Advisory business, one of three major units within KPMG (along with Audit and Tax), generates approximately £1.95bn per year and has 11,000 employees in the UK alone.
Deal Advisory represents approximately £310m of revenues for Advisory, and comprises a number of specialist teams including M&A, Restructuring and Transactions Services.

Our Transactions Services (TS) team is market leading provider of deal advice to a wide range of Private Equity and Corporate businesses in their transactions through the provision of buy and sell side due diligence, Integration and Separation and Alliances (JV) advisory. TS is now looking to grow its capability in the Operational Diligence and Value Creation space and is embarking on a significant expansion plan for FY17 growing by over 40 people.

TS has dramatically refreshed its approach to providing Operational and Value Creation services based on use of dynamic tools and a more integrated subject matter approach which has to date had an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from clients.
We are now looking for high calibre candidates to join our team and be part of the exciting growth plans we have for this area of the business.

Responsibilities:

- Support Operational Due Diligence, stand alone cost assessments and Corporate Performance improvement projects from start to finish.
- This will include setting and assisting with scopes, budgets, staffing resources, generating information/data requests, participating in client and target workshops, creating final deliverables, and assisting with presentation of results
- Work full time on engagements to help ensure successful problem formulation, hypotheses generation and problem resolution.
- Working with team leads and client staff to create value-add insights that tie to the client’s strategic and financial ambitions, analysing the underlying value proposition, near and long term investment thesis and using structured data analyses to identify operational risks, efficiencies, or other opportunities
Qualifications, Skills, Attributes & Experience:


- Experience in a consulting related discipline at a Big 4 firm, major strategy firm, or boutique firm; within a deals environment
- Strong experience in transaction and business due diligence, operational and performance improvement, strategic growth and with relevant strategy experience
- Strong working capital or procurement experience.
- Bachelor's degree qualification or equivalent
- Proven numerate and analytical ability (ACA/CPA/MBA or equivalent)
- Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem solving skills and ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance and organizational design
- Comfort with ambiguity and fluid consulting situations
- Ability to travel at a significant level
- Fluency in English and in at least one another European language

Salary: £50,000-£52,000 plus negotiable bonus and benefits
