Do you want to make a winning difference to KPMG’s biggest and most important opportunities? By working as part of our National Pursuits Team, you’ll be helping teams across KPMG produce top quality writing for our proposals and pitches.

The Role
• Writing and editing proposals written by KPMG teams
• Coming up with key messages
• Drafting executive summaries for proposals
• Structuring responses to both answer RFP questions and tell a compelling story
• Championing clear, simple writing across KPMG

Role dimensions
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:

You will be working with KPMG teams across the firm at all levels. You'll need to constructively challenge senior partners to increase their chance of winning. And you'll need to manage multiple stakeholders at the same time.
You'll also be responsible for helping to train members of our offshore NPT India team on how to improve their writing.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
You'll be helping teams produce winning bids, creating more revenue for the firm. You'll be showing partners that improving the language of our proposals leads to more wins.


• Strong demonstrable experience as a professional writer
• Proven experience working as a writer in a sales or marketing role
• Experience of working with other writers

• Experience with the competitive tender process
• Experience of writing in a competitive environment
• A background in communications, branding or professional services
• Experience with speechwriting, ghostwriting, tone of voice and video scriptwriting or storyboarding

Expertise / Technical role requirements
• Superlative communication skills, especially in writing
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work on several projects at once
• Creativity
• Stakeholder management
• Some knowledge of audits, tax, consultancy and deal advisory is desirable

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent
• Ability to translate corporate language and consultancy jargon into normal, everyday language
• Advanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Tone of voice
• Copyediting
• Proofreading
