The Team

Our Supply Chain ESG team focuses on building resilient, sustainable, and digitally enabled supply chains that support the global energy transition and journey to Net Zero, while ensuring equitable social outcomes.

Our approach enables businesses to achieve visibility and collaboration, educate and support suppliers and customers, and acquire the information needed to make informed decisions that promote ESG. Integral to our approach is developing client leadership, teamwork and problem solving to drive high performance, digital innovation and create a continuous improvement culture.

As an Assistant Manager in KPMG’s Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of consulting work as part of a team, alongside both colleagues and clients, on complex engagements. You’ll develop and execute a combination of supply chain and sustainable solutions balancing the various needs of people, the environment, and the business.

Successful candidates will work across multiple engagements managing the delivery of key outputs relating to the different facets of our proposition and shaping our future propositions.

Essential experience:

The following experience is essential for succeeding in role:
Experience and knowledge in the ESG and sustainability space through working in industry, academia or a consulting environment, or equivalent
Experience delivering sustainability projects, with focus on issues such as energy use, GHG emissions, biodiversity, circular economy, water usage, etc.
Excellent research and analytical skills to identify pragmatic solutions and solve our clients’ complex issues
Experience being part of a team, including producing deliverables, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and providing written and verbal outputs
Experience communicating compelling and well-thought-out solutions to complex problems

Additional experience:

Some of the following experiences would be of additional value:
Experience in Carbon/GHG emissions reporting and calculation (scope 1, 2 and 3)
Experience working across ethical and social aspects of the supply chain, including ethical procurement, supplier diversity etc.
Knowledge of financial business cases for change and rolling out transformation opportunities
Qualification in sustainable/ethical/ESG business
Strong familiarity with TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP and other reporting standards
Developed marketing and outreach media for communicating the offering and events
Developed market intelligence and sector knowledge through research on sustainability issues and stakeholder interests
Drive to develop the team culture, inspire and empower team members to perform at their best
