Job DescriptionThe Team

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work as part of our Lighthouse development team to carry out comprehensive quality assurance testing for all product developments, enhancements and fixes for our software, which will include release and system testing with usage of automation. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the quality of our software is maintained at the highest possible levels, increasing the satisfaction of customers and reducing the number of issues using automated technologies. We look for people who are proactive, innovative and constructive in their testing approach whilst excited by the opportunity to exercise the industry latest tools to uncover bugs and undesired user experience. The opportunity will expose you working with market-leading Financial Services software, mainly in a desktop environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Write, maintain and execute both manual and automated tests
- Liaise with testers, developers and support staff on corrective actions or viable workarounds to incidents
- Undertake responsibilities of a QA with a focus on test automation
- Design, review and execute tests plans and regression packs
- Assess problems from multiple angles to ensure relevant issues are considered when making decisions
- Proactively drive forward new and creative ideas and tools which benefit the team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Experience in testing desktop applications
- Proven track record creating automated tests against user interfaces
- Intermediate level of SQL being able to create query’s to integrate the database
- Ability to Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Experience working in an Agile Kanban/Scrum environment
- In-depth experience of Automation Test tooling for desktop such as TestComplete, MS Visual Studio Coded UI, Sikuli
- Knowledge of Atlassian tools including Jira with Zephyr, Confluence and Stash
- Knowledge of TeamCity, Git and waffle.io and other similar tools
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication both to business and technical audiences
- Certification in ISTQB Software Testing
- Certified ISTQB Agile Tester
- Computer Science Degree (or similar)
