We are looking for Assistant Managers to join our teams. The position will be based out of our London office.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager in our growing IGH practice, you will be central to the development of strategy as well as implementation of large complex programmes, performance improvement, and transformation programmes.

You will be working within the Grants Centre of Excellence team working on a broad range of clients including potentially all central government departments.
Successful candidates will work collaboratively with KPMG colleagues and clients to:
• Implement practical change to improve outcomes for service users, customers and patients. Provide insight based on detailed analysis and international best practice
• Plan and deliver changes to help improve operational performance reduce costs, and increase efficiency
• Support the design and delivery of public service reform programmes
• Move services into alternative settings, commercial vehicles or partnerships, for example developing new models
You’ll be supported and coached by Managers and Senior Managers in our practice, helping you to deliver the best for our clients, our teams and for you.

Projects also regularly involve working within a wider a multidisciplinary team across KPMG with technical, business, data science, business management, finance or IT skills as well.

The Person

You will be a talented and ambitious graduate with extensive experience in complex programmes with the credibility and experience to lead small KPMG and client teams to appraise, plan and deliver complex grant or policy programmes for UK and international government programmes
You may have experience of working with one or more of the following policy/delivery areas:

• Report drafting and writing
• Managing technical inputs and SME engagement with substantive written reports.
• Monitoring and evaluation of grants or similar complex programmes
• Low carbon, gender and inclusion, sustainability or environmental issues (UK or Internationally)
• Overseas Development Assistance programmes

Essential skills:
• Ability to help lead KPMG project teams delivering client engagements
• Robust knowledge of the Public Sector and plans for its future
• Ability to be pragmatic and innovative in problem solving,
• With support of KPMG leadership, the ability to help identify risk and manage commercial and client delivery risks in a high-pressure environment
• Project Management skills including planning and prioritise work within deadlines
