Job Description

The Clara Analytics Team brings together of a group of talented individuals that share a creative mind-set and an ambition to drive innovation and quality on our audits, through the use of data and analytics (D&A). They support our audit teams on their technology journey and ensure that we are delivering the audit of the future, today.
The Clara Analytics Team has been rolling out KPMG Automated Audit Procedures (KAAP) in the past years, a data & analytics tool that enables the firm’s audit engagement teams to extract data from clients’ ERP systems and perform automated audit procedures.

The individual will also be involved in the use of the firm’s new Clara platform.
This is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons in the rapidly growing and evolving discipline of D&A in the audit.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role

The person will be responsible for analysing the output of complex D&A routines and assisting audit engagement teams understanding the output from both an audit methodology and ERP
functionality perspective.

- Manage the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- maintain constant dialogue with audit teams and clients in order to manage expectations on deliverables;
- interpret routine results to audit teams to enable them to fully understand the reports;
- reacting quickly to any issues and escalating to Senior Technical Lead/Technical Lead for any complex issues.
- Attend client meetings in order to represent the firm’s D&A capabilities as and when required.
- Work closely with audit methodology teams to ensure proposed solutions are consistent with our regulator’s demands and the firm’s quality standards.
- Develop deep knowledge of audit D&A methodology and ERP systems
- Develop and present any training programmes as requested by the Senior Technical Leads or Team Leader.
- Develop and implement best practice to ensure that ‘quality’ is embedded within all activities performed by the team.
- Ensure all work and developments are appropriately considered and challenged in line with audit methodology and documentation requirements.

The skills, qualifications and experience required for the job

- Proven experience in external audit experience
- Proven experience working on clients with Integrated ERP systems.
- Proven experience working for a Big4 professional services company or within a consultancy enviornment
- Proven experience of working on complex Revenue and Purchases business processes in audit.
- Proven experience presenting, with ability to articulate how D&A fits into an audit approach
- Proven experience of exploring data to understand its content and how it is used within audit.
- Proven experience in networking both internally and externally with key decision makers.
- Proven experience of working within a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
