The Role


- Develop lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs

- Provide compelling and well thought out solutions to problems of moderate complexity

- Work with senior leadership in delivering analytical solutions to wholesale banking and capital markets clients

- Build solution prototypes and develop related collaterals to showcase team's analytical capabilities to prospective clients

- Execute data analytics engagements, capture learnings and run knowledge sharing sessions

- Assume ownership of key client relationships, identify revenue-generating opportunities and get involved in business development activities such as proposal writing, pitch presentations, etc.

- Develop industry and technical expertise and be positioned as an Analytics SME for wholesale banking and capital markets sector

- Identify, anticipate and recommend the need for changes to methodologies in response to changing risk profiles and business needs

- Ensure the firm’s quality protocols / risk management requirements are implemented and complied with both internally and on client engagements

- Build relationships with other departments to deliver market and client focused business solutions

Essential Skills:

- Demonstrable experience of delivering analytical solutions to wholesale and capital markets (buy and/or sell side) clients. Experience of working with a tier 1 consulting firm or a large Financial Services Institution is highly desirable.

- Good understanding of front to back trade booking flows

- Experience across a range of analytical tools (Hadoop, Beeline, Hive, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Pentaho, R, Python, Qlikview, Spotfire, Tableau, Excel (VBA, Pivot Tables), etc.)

- Hands on experience of building Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning/Deep learning models and applying statistical models to generate insights. Understand the differences between various deep learning algorithms

- Strong experience of creating prototypes, proof-of-concepts, wireframes, storyboards to communicate conceptual ideas to internal and external stakeholders

- Good interpersonal and relationship management skills, being able to communicate clearly and concisely

- Ability to spot opportunities to add value to clients and work with colleagues in other lines of service to help clients find solutions to the challenges they face

- Excellent presentation skills

- Attention to detail and the ability to think and work independently and within a team environment

- Strong organizational, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills

Desirable Skills:

- Experience of trade support, settlement and clearing

- Experience in processing high velocity, large and rich data and algorithmic trading

- Cost optimisation and scenario modelling

- Good experience in visualisation, UI/UX and product design

- Experience of working with Cloud technologies – IaaS/PaaS/SaaS experience will be a distinct advantage

- Knowledge of Blockchain, DLT, understanding of infrastructural implications

- Background in Maths / Applied Maths, Statistics or Applied Statistics / Econometrics
