About the programme 

Our Undergraduate Programmes are designed to let you find out more about KPMG and the different types of work we do. If you take part, you'll discover what it's like to be part of a professional team and be able to explore the different areas of the business too.

Our Actuarial team is at the heart of our Pensions practice. Providing services to Pension Trustee and Corporate clients. For future graduates, it's the chance to take the first step towards becoming an expert in an interesting, varied and intellectually challenging field.

Working in the Pensions team requires strong numerate and communication skills, paired with the ability to take responsibility right from the beginning. Successful candidates will have the enthusiasm and confidence to take the initiative and are supported to develop their own investment ideas, in a challenging yet rewarding way.

What your job will involve

The remit of our Pensions team varies enormously, so your work will depend on the team you join as part of the Vacation Programme. However, here are a few examples of the kinds of projects you might be involved in: 

- Advising clients on their pensions strategy 

- Helping to manage schemes and legislative changes 

- Tailoring individual plans for senior executives 

- Designing and helping to implement employee communication programmes 

- Domestic and international transactions advice 

- Providing investment advisory services

Your training and development

During the vacation scheme you will not be required to work for any
Professional Qualifications.

What do we look for?

As a general rule, you'll be expected to meet the following requirements: 

- Minimum grade B GCSE* Maths 

- Minimum grade B GCSE* English Language

- Minimum of 300 UCAS Tariff points* - must include a grade B at A-Level Maths if your degree is numerate but not Mathematics or Actuarial Science

- On track to achieve a 2:1 numerate degree. 

* or equivalent
