Job DescriptionOverview

KPMG Managed Services provide an innovative and cost effective solution to the delivery of large scale review and/or processing activity across multiple industries, geographies and processes.
The Managed Services operation is experienced in, but not limited to, remediation, complaint handling, claims processing, service delivery and conduct risk reviews.
Managed Services Revenue targets are in excess of £20M pa and UK Operations is the principal delivery arm and driver of this revenue

We bring together KPMG subject matter expertise, highly skilled operational resource and, where required, proprietary technology assets, providing clients with a single joined-up approach.

Responsibilities

-

Design and maintain frameworks and controls to prevent or manage breach of process
-

Identify, assess and manage the Regulatory and Operational Risks within Managed Services, ensuring all changes in external regulation are fully considered
-

Maintain a strong risk and control framework across the operational teams, reviewing the key risks and action plans to improve them regularly with the Senior Leadership Team
-

Support Operational Leads in representing risks and compliance to clients, as well as developing mitigation plans
-

Consistently re-evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Managed Services control environment, making adjustments as needed to improve or maintain the Risk Environment

Provide meaningful reporting and insight into risk-related issues and activities within Managed Services
-

Oversee and drive compliance with KPMG Risk requirements across the full end-to-end lifecycle of each engagement, staying abreast of changes in policy and approach issued by the central teams, including TQRM, Internal Audit and Information Security (others?)

Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure they are adhering to the Firm’s rules and regulatory obligations, putting in place mechanisms to control and track key requirements

Accountable for Managed Services adherence to all regulatory obligations and firm regulations
-

Accountable for client-facing risk management
-

Oversight and ultimate sign off of policies and procedures that reflect current regulatory requirements and support MS compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations including but not limited to:

Effective record keeping
-

Adequate management information
-

Breach reporting
-

Conflict of interest management
-

Data Protection
-

Accountable for the design and maintenance of the Quality framework as one of the Hallmarks of our Managed Services proposition, with a bespoke version for each client engagement

Oversee internal and external regulatory developments, including evolving best practice in compliance control

Regular assessment of Managed Services strategy to ensure all compliance risks are identified

Responsible for the creation of an efficient and aligned risk approach across all Managed Services sites, both onshore and offshore

Ensure Information Security risks are effectively managed in line with client expectations and work extensively with KPMG internal Information Risks and ITS teams to apply appropriate standards

Essential Skills and Experience

Extensive experience of quality and risk management controls and processes

Knowledge of firm-wide risk management processes and applicable regulation and legislation

Ability to understand and interpret client-relevant regulation / legislation and design/implement appropriate procedures to manage risk

Methodical planning ability

Stakeholder management experience

Cross-site working, both on and offshore

Experience of working in an operational environment
