The Role

The Role

The Commercial Assistant supports commercial support for all aspects of our learning delivery, from inputting to the scoping and qualification of new requirements to sourcing, contracting and onboarding of new suppliers (to meet both our client contractual requirements and internal KPMG risk management procedures), allocating work orders, purchase orders and supporting transition to our Service Centre. The Commercial Assistant supports all commercial activities including sourcing, quality and risk management, and liaising directly with suppliers.
The Commercial Assistant must be able to analyse data and contracts with a strong attention to detail. As the Commercial Assistant is required to build strong internal relationships, communication and stakeholder management skills are also essential.
As a team member, the Commercial Assistant must live up to KPMG’s values and demonstrate a commitment toward the accomplishment of the team’s goals.
Role and Responsibilities
— Working with suppliers in a manged service environment
— Use of collaboration and productivity tools and systems
— Work at pace to tight client deadlines
— Support sourcing activity during RFP processes including: Internal Quality and Risk Management checks on potential new suppliers
— Supporting supplier onboarding activities and ongoing supplier compliance requirements.
— Supporting the release of new service offerings, such as:
— Working with Supplier Managers and Delivery Leads to assist in the generation and tracking of supplier work orders for new service requirements.
— Uploading work order details into the PO system
— Identifying and maintaining a detailed log of Intellectual Property
— Providing timely and accurate Management Information:
— Liaising with MI team to collate supplier MI.
— Analysis of supplier MI to inform supplier performance management activities
— Managing supplier areas on our collaboration tool to enable access to MI and trainer materials

The Person

— Demonstrable commercial acumen, ideally supported by formal study and exposure to contract law
— Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
— Excellent verbal and written communication skills
— Able to analyse data and draw out key messages
— Extensive knowledge of working with Suppliers
