Job DescriptionThe role is responsible for the delivery of Change services and supporting the transition into new engagements, providing the services referred to above in support of an Operation. The ability to engage and communicate with good people management skills and experience are therefore essential, with a demonstrable track record of having successfully led a small change team in an operations environment.

In addition, the role will be required to build an understanding of our technology solutions to support the delivery of change into the operation, with a focus on process standardisation and improvement to ensure our services are delivered to a high quality at as low a cost as possible. This will entail management of resources which will configure initial process design and ongoing change.


Roles and Responsibilities

- Working closely with business heads, other business or specialist managers to ensure that the impact of business change is assessed, planned, monitored and delivered to optimise benefits whilst maintaining BAU. Where appropriate agreeing any deviation to KPIs whilst Change is implemented
- Responsible for effective stakeholder management, communicating with Senior Leadership Team and other managers to keep them up to date with progress, issues and developments providing appropriate briefing to enable them to make informed decisions about the approach and direction of change and where appropriate making recommendations on whether or not to proceed
- Drawing on own and SME knowledge to provide operational areas solutions to meet change requirements
- Working with operational managers to embed change within the business.
- Identifying requirements for processes, procedures and practices to achieve change and deliver the planned benefits, ensuring that the communications and training manager has the necessary information to communicate changes
- Recruit, develop, reward and manage performance of the Business Analysts, ensuring quality standards of performance and delivery of results
- Ensure the policy, procedures and practices of the Change Team comply fully with all legal and regulatory requirements and codes of practice/conduct
- To ensure that effective risk, issue and dependency management processes are established within the Change Team in accordance with the Managed Services risk appetite and risk control framework
- Responsible for coordinating business activity relating to UAT in line with the test strategy from Technology Development
- Responsible for coordinating business input to post implementation reviews and ensuring that learnings are adopted by operations
- Liaise with the Project Managers and provide operational input to IT Technology to ensure designed technical solutions are fit for operational purpose
- Building core knowledge in Change team during set up and shaping activities for each engagement in liaison with Project Managers
- To effectively shape and manage process changes for the client across sites, ensuring a high level of customer service to all customers
- Manage the business configurable systems which support Operations in accordance with the framework agreed with Technology Development
- Ensure the effective co-ordination of activity, events, projects and communications across Operations to enable consistency and utilisation of resources.
- Ensuring that corrective action relating to any project issues are tracked
- Demonstrate flexibility to lead and manage activities across sites
- Identify individual training and coaching needs and build appropriate succession and development plans
- Performance manage and develop colleagues, maximising talent and contribution of individuals in delivering value

Skills Required

- Operational environment experience, coupled with a bit of experience spent within a change function leading Business Analysts
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of project management disciplines and methodologies
- Proven ability to work with other functions, including cross-divisional and external suppliers to achieve business objectives
- Understanding of Managed Services tactical and strategic objectives
- Analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to use information to generate creative solutions to benefit the business.
- Budgeting, forecasting and planning experience in an project environment
- Awareness of the FCA, CCA, Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation, procedures and processes
- Preferred background in Financial services industry, although not essential, with exposure to remediation, complaint handling, claims processing and conduct risk reviews in the UK
- Contributes and drives continuous improvement or transformation
