The Team

KPMG Managed Services provide an innovative and cost-effective solution to the delivery of large-scale review and/or processing activity across multiple industries, geographies and processes. The Managed Services operation is experienced in, but not limited to, remediation, complaint handling, claims processing, service delivery and conduct risk reviews. Managed Services Revenue targets are in excess of £20M pa and UK Operations is the principal delivery arm and driver of this revenue.

We bring together KPMG subject matter expertise, highly skilled operational resource and, where required, proprietary technology assets, providing clients with a single joined-up approach.

The Role

The Transition and Change Business Analyst role within Managed Services bridges the gap between clients, the business and technology/software solution teams, designing market leading offerings that are sold to a diverse range of clients across multiple industries. This is a fast-paced varied role where day to day responsibilities range from designing and mobilising new client opportunities, to assessing the impact of, and delivering operational change/process improvement on existing engagements.

The Business Analyst will be a motivated self-starter who leads in all aspects of solution design and drives the team forward. They will ensure that detailed business requirements are scoped, documented and understood by those developing and implementing the applicable process/procedures or solution. They will support the communication and delivery to the business and stakeholders through the implementation process and quality assurance. This will involve building and leveraging excellent relationships with a diverse number of people within KPMG and our clients’ organisations.

Working closely with various Managed Services and client teams, the Business Analyst will:
• Design ‘to be’ target operating models, systems, processes and procedures that are critical to the success of engagements.
• Take ownership of requests for change, managing them through the full implementation lifecycle (scoping and requirements, impact assessment, delivery plan and post-implementation review).
• Participate in the planning, design and development of new/changes to systems, processes and procedures.
• Identify and implement value add process improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with on-shore and off-shore colleagues and stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery and implementation.
• Lead and facilitate both internal and client facing workshops to achieve desired objectives.
• Produce a variety of high-quality deliverables determined by the needs of a project/request (functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, test scripts, process models, end user material including operational procedures, communications and training).
• Enhance best practice across Managed Services, through constant evaluation of existing approaches and constructively influencing positive change.
• Build relationships with other staff and clients at a range of organisational levels, to enhance the reputation of KPMG as an advisor of choice.
• Take a significant role in developing the capability of the Transition and Change function, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other team members.
• Support wider project management by managing and reporting progress against milestones, identifying any risks and dependencies
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities across multiple projects.
• Work within any KPMG UK office, or on a customer site as needed.

The Person

• Proven experience as a Business/Process Analyst, where you have been instrumental in driving operational process design/change and managing senior stakeholders as part of project delivery.
• Strong experience in various requirements elicitation methods and capture techniques (Waterfall/AGILE).
• Experience in leading process re-engineering activities.
• Experience in producing deliverables directly used by operational teams for the purpose of executing tasks/processes.
• Experience in working with some or all of the following technologies:
o Visio.
o JIRA/Confluence.

• A background in Know Your Customer (KYC)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
• Experience within client facing roles.
• A background within Outsourcing/Remediation project delivery.
• Experience in the practical application of various change improvement methodologies (i.e. Lean Six Sigma)
• Experience working with some or all of the following technologies:
o Wireframing applications (e.g. Axure).
o Salesforce.
o AWS.
o Aptean.
o Microsoft Power Apps.
• Application configuration experience.
• Experience of managing and mentoring staff and helping with their personal and professional development. Hands-on, self-starter who can quickly digest complex concepts and drive both the creation and change of systems, processes and documentation used to support engagements.
• Strong influencing skills, attention to detail and a high level of negotiation skills required for re-engineering business processes that support service delivery and production of performance and management information.
• Interpersonal and communication skills required to work across all aspects of the organisation and stakeholders at all levels. It is imperative to know the audience’s requirements and needs, sometimes possessing tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent documentation skills, adopting a ‘right first time’ approach in all written output.
