The Role

This role is to join our UK Healthcare practice as an Assistant Manager working with clients across the health and care landscape.

We need people able to perform across four key areas of work:

- Care System Redesign

including customer journey mapping, clinical strategy development and target operating model development

- Provider Improvement

including operational improvement, lean transformation, supply chain transformation and advisory work with health and care providers

- Workforce Transformation

including workforce strategy, planning, evaluation and analytics

- Financial transformation of core business services

The base location is flexible across our UK offices. Travel is a typical part of the role due to the nature of the projects.

The Person

The ideal candidate will:

- Have experience in one or more of the key areas of work named in the above role specification (desirable), be an existing management consultant or from a relevant role within the public sector

- Have deep and relevant experience evidenced by a demonstrable track record of working within or managing, operational, financial or organisational change

- Be able to operate effectively at Assistant Manager level and demonstrate an ability to forge and successfully maintain relationships

- Be outcome focused, enthusiastic and self-motivated

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and reasoning skills

- Have an awareness of Lean transformation (desirable)

- Strong commercial and financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions

- Be able to demonstrate effective project management skills to deliver small to medium engagements to time, quality and budget

- Understand, adhere to and promote quality and risk management standards

- Have a clear focus on client needs, expectations and ensure their agenda remain at the forefront of our work

- Ideally be degree level qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.

Professional project management, programme management or clinical qualifications are desirable.
