The Team

As an integral member of our team, you’ll work with other Business Analysts and subject matter experts to shape apps for everything from a client facing portal for sharing information to implementing complex algorithms to automate the assessment of tax. The role

You will be working in the Management Information and Analytics team within the Tax, Legal and Pensions division and will assist in enhancing the reporting and analysis provided to a growing stakeholder group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the reporting and analysis needs of our stakeholders are met and will work with our stakeholders on the design of dashboards on our data analytics tools to provide maximum impact and insight.



Engage with key stakeholders to discuss design of their MI and analytics requirements


Work closely with MI&A Analysts to ensure that reporting and data analytics dashboards are created to the requirements of stakeholders


Regularly provide stakeholders with updates on projects and enhancements


Identify opportunities for automation of reporting and analysis using the best solutions available


Undertake complex reporting and analysis requests, which are key in assisting stakeholders with business decision making


Assist stakeholders with forecasting and capacity planning


Extraction of data from new data sources in order to create meaningful data outputs which can add value to stakeholders


Expectation that the status quo will be challenged to look at better ways of reporting to our stakeholders and bring process improvement

The Person


Knowledge and experience of extracting data from multiple data sources to meet stakeholder requirements


Hands on experience of MI or reporting programmes


Experience creating dashboards and visualisations in data analytics tools, such as Qliksense


Experience using and manipulating data, by using software packages such as Excel, Alteryx and SQL


Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to manage expectations


Strong analytical, problem solving and data manipulation skills


Ability to project manage and prioritise workload based on stakeholder requirements


Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and provide customer service


Attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to convert requirements into meaningful outputs for stakeholders


Logical thinker able to devise and assess multiple approaches to solving



Strong Microsoft Office skills
, especially Excel


Ability to respond quickly and effectively to change and work under pressure


Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable Skills and Experience


Data mining and extraction experience


Proficient in VBA and macros

The role is full-time in Glasgow, with some travel required to London and other locations around the UK.
