About the programme

Management Consulting is a priority area for our Advisory business – and invaluable to our clients’ businesses too, as we help them to address some of their hottest topics. The focus of everything we do is to help add lasting value and enhance their performance by delivering sustainable improvements to their business. On this programme, you’ll be given the chance to gain exposure across a range of disciplines – offering an unrivalled insight into KPMG.

Our Graduate Programme is designed to give you the experience and core consulting skills you need to get your career off to a flying start. Starting as you mean to go on, you’ll build your commercial understanding and business acumen to deliver real value to our clients straight away.

Key skills required

Enjoying a wide variety of client and internal work, you’ll need the adaptability and flexibility to work in different roles with a diverse range of people – often under challenging deadlines.

You could find yourself:

- Supporting a major client in a retender of their retail contract to determine their requirements for a Partner arrangement

- Conducting client interviews and data analysis to help determine the best sourcing strategy for the finance function of a global oil company

- Performing research to help us develop innovative thinking we can take to our clients

As technology is a large part of the role that we do in Customer, it is also important that you demonstrate an interest in technology.

What your job will involve

As experts in the field, our clients often ask us how to:

In Customer we are focused on getting to the heart of our clients business to really drive change and guarantee a market leading customer experience through:

- Our focus on commercial and customer outcomes

- Support from procurement specialists with a deep understanding of procurement strategy and systems

- Conduct in depth market research and analysis to identify high priority areas and consider options available to provide a solution to the client's issue

- Understand current procurement operating model and develop the optimum service model that maximises value and minimises cost for the client

Your training and development

We are committed to providing you with not only on-the-job training and support but also accreditations and certifications such as MRS Advanced Certificate in Social and Market Research Practice, Microsoft Dynamics certification and BCS Business Analysis Diploma.

Technology is a large part of the role that we do in Customer and as such you can expect that the learning path will grow as technology develops.  

What do we look for?

Within our recruitment process, we look for more than just your academic results. This wider perspective helps us ensure that we are giving you the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We assess your application against KPMG’s Global Behavioural Capabilities and a number of other metrics, including technical background and/or experience, to build our confidence in whether you will be a success at KPMG. 

As a general rule, you'll be expected to meet the following requirements: 

- Minimum grade B GCSE* Maths 

- Minimum grade B GCSE* English Language 

- Minimum of 320 UCAS Tariff points*

- Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline 

* or equivalent

Please note that we only consider a candidate's top 3 A-level grades and do not accept General Studies.
