The Team

The Solution Architect role offers the candidate the opportunity to apply their tax and accounting skills in a unique way, working as part of our rapidly growing Tax Technology & Innovation team. You will be part of a team that will be at the forefront of changing an entire industry, helping our clients adapt and make the most of technological advances to help them better manage their tax obligations. The Solution Architect will be part of a team that forms the link between technology and the tax business. You will work closely with Senior Solutions Architects and the tax business across all service lines to design technology solutions for our clients and drive business development for our technology.

The Role


-Work with Senior Solution Architects to build awareness of KPMG’s tax technology internally and externally;
-Input into the design of client specific technology solutions based on KPMG’s tax technology capabilities and assist in responding to the technology element of KPMG’s response to proposals for tax services;


-Deliver client demonstrations of our technology capability, and support the tax Partner and Director group in holding technology discussions with clients;


-Play a key role in the business development process for large technology opportunities progressing leads to sales and taking assisting with contract negotiation and agreement;


-Manage the implementation of large/high profile technology engagements ensuring high quality delivery in line with engagement profitability targets;


-Build and maintain excellent internal and external client relationships;


-Participating in ongoing reviews of technology product roadmaps and strategy to ensure internal and external client feedback is reflected;


-Performance managing junior staff.

The Person
Qualifications
- Strong educational background (preferably 2:1 or higher university degree);
- Accounting or tax qualifications or equivalent experience are highly desirable.

Experience and Background


-Demonstrable interest in/background in technology is essential;
-Experience with ERP systems or tax software would be an advantage;


-Ability to work in teams to deliver projects to agreed deadlines and budgets, even under pressure;


-Ability to build and execute strong internal and external relationships;


-Ability to work autonomously, a self-starter with the confidence to make their own decisions;


-Motivated and ambitious team player who is well organised and results driven;


-Experience of managing and monitoring talent and performance;


-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
