The Team

The Senior Solution Architect role offers the candidate the opportunity to apply their tax and accounting skills in a unique way, working as part of our rapidly growing Tax Technology & Innovation team. You will be part of a team that will be at the forefront of changing an entire industry, helping our clients adapt and make the most of technological advances to help them better manage their tax obligations. The Senior Solution Architect will be the link between technology and the tax business. You will work closely with the Partner & Director group across all tax service lines to design technology solutions for our clients and drive business development for our technology.

The Role


-Work closely with Partners and Directors within the tax business to build awareness of the KPMG’s tax technology internally and externally and generate external client leads;
-Together with the tax business, design client specific technology solutions based on KPMG’s tax technology capabilities and shape the technology element of KPMG’s response to proposals for tax services;


-Work with tax Partners and Directors to originate technology opportunities by leading client meetings and technology demonstrations;


-Lead the business development process for large technology opportunities progressing leads to sales and taking responsibility for contract negotiation and agreement;


-Oversee the implementation of large/high profile technology engagements ensuring high quality delivery in line with engagement profitability targets;


-Work with the tax business to identify opportunities to create technology enabled services based on KPMG’s tax technology capabilities;


-Build and maintain excellent internal and external client relationships;


-Participating in ongoing reviews of technology product roadmaps and strategy to ensure internal and external client feedback is reflected;


-Performance managing junior staff.


The Person

Qualifications
Strong educational background (preferably 2:1 or higher university degree);
Accounting or tax qualifications or equivalent experience are highly desirable.

Experience and Background

Demonstrable interest in/background in technology is essential;
Experience with ERP systems or tax software would be an advantage;
Ability to work in teams to deliver projects to agreed deadlines and budgets, even under pressure;
Ability to build and execute strong internal and external relationships;
Ability to work autonomously, a self-starter with the confidence to make their own decisions;
Motivated and ambitious team player who is well organised and results driven;
Experience of managing and monitoring talent and performance;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
