Job DescriptionThe Role

The pension administration team has a vacancy for a Senior National Installations Administrator who will be part of a national pensions team of 400 staff who work on all aspects of Administration, Actuarial Consultancy and Investment services. The candidate can be based in either the Birmingham or Reading office and must be willing to travel to fulfil the role.

The Responsibilities

You will be involved in installing both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes for new clients, reporting to the National Installations Manager. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the installation of new pension schemes and proactively ensuring that all stages of the installation project plan are completed and signed off in a timely manner and within budget. Liaising with the clients, the internal systems team, as well as the wider pensions team is required, therefore strong communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.

The Individual

The ideal candidate is expected to have five to seven years experience as a Pensions Administrator in a consultancy based environment, an insurance company or in-house arrangement. Good sound technical knowledge is expected.

You should ideally be experienced in all aspects of pensions administration and have a basic understanding of accounting and payroll aspects of running a pension scheme. Knowledge of IntelliPen, Word and Excel packages would also be advantageous.

As a Senior Administrator you would be encouraged and supported to study for the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) exams.
