The Team

Technology Risk Consulting is a rapidly growing department. Our services are of both an assurance and advisory nature and include: IT Security and Risk Management, IT in the External Audit, IT Internal Audit, 3rd Party risk, Independent Project Assurance, ERP controls (called Business System and Controls), Revenue assurance.

Within the Sectors Technology Risk Consulting team, a large amount of our work involves providing assurance, advice and attestation to clients on their IT systems and processes, IT risks, IT general controls and IT projects. This work is delivered through standalone assignments, or as part of external and internal audit engagements.
KPMG are growing their IMG Sectors Tech Risk team to meet an ever increasing demand for our market leading services and are seeking IT management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

The Role

- Building global relationships and actively seeking out the global networks best experts to address client needs
- Communicating compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems
- Building constructive working relationships across different teams, functions, countries or cultures

As a Senior Manager in our team, we expect you to have experience of working with large corporate clients and be able to translate complex risk, control and technology related issues into straight forward credible, jargon free advice to our clients.

Responsibilities:-
- Help our clients navigate through complex risk and control requirements in highly regulated environments (particularly Sarbanes-Oxley)
- Provide advice on risk management, IT transformation and IT audit for our clients
- Managing and delivering large, complex engagements
- Being a trusted engagement manager and a role model for quality and risk management practices
- Understanding of KPMG’s broader offerings to enable identification of business opportunities
- Leading sales and business development activities
- Developing constructive client relationships, both inside and outside of KPMG
- Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members
- Building out and maintaining a professional network
- Upholding KPMG’s values by acting with integrity

The Person

- Track record of providing Sarbanes Oxley IT Audit advice to clients
- Proven experience of external and internal audit in the context of IT
- Experience of managing a portfolio of complex IT control engagements for clients including planning, overseeing delivery, reporting and escalation of issues as necessary
- Proven experience of successfully managing IT controls advisory services in a commercial environment, ensuring the delivery of high quality work on time and to budget
- Proven ability to lead work at sustained levels of high intensity, and inspire drive and resilience in others
- Proven experience of providing IT Control Advice within the Power and Utilities sector (desirable)
