The Team:

The Data Insight Services team sits within KPMG Risk Consulting Technology function and is a facility that brings together analytics specialists, hardware and software to provide a unique facility that allows customers to commission one-off pieces of analytics work, proofs of concept or ongoing data oriented managed services.



It represents a critical component to KPMG's growth strategy and is where much of the innovative early thinking takes place on fraud detection and other data driven projects.



The successful candidate will perform a client delivery focused role, which typically involves the management, manipulation and analysis of data and transformations using innovative techniques to extract the necessary intelligence from related data assets.



The work is highly varied, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to enhance and take their skills to the next level by gaining strong consulting and business experience whilst developing their ability to manage work streams, projects and budgets.

KPMG are growing their IMG RC Data Insight Services team to meet an ever increasing demand for our market leading services and are seeking IT management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

The Role


- Developing lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs

- Provide compelling and well thought out solutions to problems of moderate complexity



Roles and Responsibilities



Reporting to the Senior Managers and Director of the team, the role involves overseeing and lead a team which:

o Develops solution features, following development best practices and architecture guidelines

o Uses data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns, extract outliers, and perform analyses to address client problems

o Develops data visualisations to display analyses to end users

o Tests and validates solutions

o Develops competence in a broad range of technologies and frameworks for managing all aspects of the data lifecycle

o Undertakes technical training to acquire and demonstrate expertise in data analysis and design & build of solutions

Qualifications and Skills



- Proven experience of successfully leading and managing data risk management work to clients.

- Proven experience of assessing client issues, developing rapid requirements to support the assessment and resolution of data risk management issues, examples include re-performance of complex systems.

- Experience in business and data analysis and understanding of core business and financial processes within clients’ markets.

- Experience in some of the following or similar technology areas:

o Data Analytics (Alteryx, SQL, Python, ACL, SAS)

o Data Reporting (Excel, VBA, PowerBI)

o Solution Building (Outsystems)

o Experience of Power and Utilities industry is preferred.

- Big 4 professional services or dynamic IT consultancy environment

- CISA or equivalent auditing qualification preferred.

- Degree/masters qualification in IT or similar preferred.
