About the role

Reporting into the Head of Compensation, this role will be responsible for delivering the firm-wide compensation strategy and all compensation-related activities ensuring:
- The approach meets the firm’s changing needs and supports the delivery of “our deal” to all colleagues in the UK
- We drive high performance through our salary and bonus processes
- Excellence in the delivery of salary and bonus schemes to ensure we can attract and retain the talent we need to grow our business
Key responsibilities
- Project managing and delivering the annual salary and bonus review process across the businesses in line with firm-wide guidance and strategy including:
- Conducting pay benchmarking exercises to ensure salary ranges are fit for purpose
- Cost modelling to help business functions understand the impact of pay decisions for budgetary purposes
- Developing the salary & bonus review project plan and coordinating and assigning resources appropriately
- Working closely with our communications team to ensure salary & bonus related communications are delivered with maximum impact.
- Providing end-to-end expert compensation guidance and support to business functions on subjects such as compensation strategy, external trends and benchmarking.
- Act as a point of escalation on a range of compensation matters.
- Provide input into the ongoing development of the Compensation strategy and associated principles.
- Manage and deliver other ad hoc compensation projects as assigned.
- Responsibility for coaching and managing compensation analysts.Experience
- Experience of managing a salary and bonus review cycle in a large, matrixed organisation.
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of salary surveys and compensation theory and practice
- Excellent excel skills and ability to develop complex cost modelling tools
- Experience of working independently and delivering to tight timescales
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring junior resources including performance management responsibilities.
