KPMGs Audit Mandarin programme is designed to give you a breadth of skills and experience. Audit provides the core foundation knowledge to a successful career in business and can equip you with valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of different industry sectors. As a Mandarin speaker, on this programme in addition to working in the UK you will also have the opportunity to work at one of the KPMG offices in China after you qualify.

Tasks and Responsibilities

In general terms your role will involve:
- Proactively look to become an integral part of the audit team, create good contacts and develop relationships with the members of our clients finance teams specifically including networks amongst Chinese business communities
- Be part of the department and attend social and networking events in order to develop your relationships and wider knowledge of both audit and a Big 4 environment and build your network in both the UK and China
- You will be assigned audit work, both a mixture of substantive and controls, over non-significant audit areas and assist more senior members of the team in the audit of significant audit areas.
- Undertake strategic projects & roles working with Chinese clients
- After attending an orientation programme you will join one of our key offices in China at the end of your third year (once qualified) for a 6-12 month secondment

Qualifications you'll work for

In addition to your role responsibilities you will also train for a professional qualification likely to be either the ICAEW or ICAS (Chartered) or the ACCA (Certified) professional accounting qualification.

The Role:
You will be working in the Information Protection department within the Risk & Compliance practice. The Information Protection area is one which KPMG has identified for tremendous investment and growth over the next 3 years and you will be expected to contribute significantly to that growth.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
The Information Protection practice provides advisory services to assess and deliver organisational security capabilities from a high-level view of the Information Security Management Processes through to specific assessments and control design services. This helps address any concerns around Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability and Privacy. Clients range across all market sectors; specifically for the CESG Tailored Assurance Service (CTAS) our clients exist across all parts of the UK Government. Through CTAS we perform technical security testing, architecture and design reviews, procedural reviews and where necessary focussed source code analysis on products or systems demanding high assurance. As a CTAS Security Tester you will be responsible for scoping, delivering and reporting on technical evaluations of products and systems which require assurance for use within UK Government. You will work with fellow team members and the client to identify and quantify technical risks. These will then be articulated to Accreditors and any other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills.

Strong team leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor less-experienced members of the team.

Clear understanding of security testing methodologies, best practice, industry standards and an ability to maintain and further develop KPMG's own testing standards and procedures.

Experience and Background
We seek an experienced IT security consultant with extensive demonstrable experience of security (penetration) testing for both commercial and public sector clients.

We require relevant and current experience of both infrastructure and application testing, including Web-application testing. Additional favourable skills include source code analysis capabilities and the ability to code exploits and not rely upon automated tools.

As part of our Management Consulting business, our IT Advisory team sits within our FS Regional practice. Our target clients include banks, building societies and insurance companies whom we work with to understand their needs and offer propositions and solutions to meet those needs.

Our Regional IT Advisory team consists of staff, ranging from first year trainees through to Partners. Clients include the whole range of financial services organisations including existing retail banks and new entrants, building societies, insurance companies (both life and non-life) and private equity houses. The Individual

The role principally involves working with our clients to define and create strategies, manage, deliver and/or assure programmes and projects alongside building and strengthening client relationships to develop new opportunities. Successful candidates will display a combination of the following:

Upper Second Class Honours degree or equivalent in a business or IT related subject.
An understanding and demonstrate experience of core business processes within financial services.
Technical knowledge, understanding and experience in specialist areas such as payments environments and processing, IT architecture, loyalty systems and infrastructure (preferably in the Banking industry), programme/project lifecycle management and third party sourcing.
A basic to good understanding of IT related technical issues (e.g. Compatibility, Security).
Confident communicator at all levels with strong reporting and presentation skills.

Your study will be undertaken alongside your work within the office by taking a study day once a week for the relevant periods leading up to the exam sittings which are held twice a year. You will be provided with study support and guidance through the exams. If studying for the CFA qualification, you will also be expected to complete the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). 
Both the actuarial and the CFA route will allow you to become authorised to deliver investment advice to your clients.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

KPMG is re-energising the Oracle business transformation market with a core focus of helping clients get real value out of their IT investments and business change programmes. The team is growing rapidly and is keen to attract the very best talent.

Our Strategy/Advisory practice encompasses:

- Helping clients design & structure Oracle ERP projects as well as “hands-on” project delivery and work-stream management
- Process design and delivery linked to the business case Solution architecture
- Contributing to the development of business cases for change programmes based on industry insight and providing the roadmap/approach to ensure the achievement of the planned benefits
- Contributing to the development of a new business Target Operating Model (ToM)
- Understanding of Change Management and support for new business processes
- Supporting work for clients to select the right system integrator / outsourcing provider
- Experience of QA / Assurance – either as internal review or recipient of a review or as an IP / IA individual;
- Report writing / presentation skills

Qualifications and Skills


- Detailed knowledge of how Oracle enables at least one end-to-end business process
- Knowledge of Oracle methodology
- Understanding of interaction and dependencies of teams in a programme environment
- Project leadership and management skills (e.g. planning, budgeting, reporting, team leadership)
- Understanding of business/industry drivers across multiple industry sectors that lead to Oracle-enabled business change/Transformation programmes

Experience and Background


- Expertise in an end-to-end business processes, e.g., Order to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay etc and their related key performance indicators
- Experience of a number (typically 3+) Oracle full implementation project lifecycles, preferably from scoping and planning through to post go live support, at least as a work stream, team leader or subject matter expert
- Experience of leading/managing small projects from design to implementation; work-stream lead roles on larger programmes with accountability for delivery to overall project milestones or PMO roles on large complex programmes
- Provision of input to business cases for large change programmes

Roles and Responsibilities

The Role


The work could involve providing advice, assurance and attestation to clients relating to information protection risks and controls, technical infrastructure, applications, processes and projects across sectors.

Responsibilities


Delivery of security related assurance and advisory services to clients across areas such as:

Security strategy, governance and management. GRC tools.

Data loss prevention Identity and access management Information security frameworks, policy and standards

Third party security assurance Public Key Infrastructure related assessments (such as tScheme and Webtrust)

Management of small engagements end-to-end and support, on larger engagements.

Scoping, production of deliverables, project and financial management, reviewing the work of others Liaising with clients on delivery, implementation and sales issues, in particular, identifying business development opportunities.

Developing excellent client relationships.

Coaching and developing team members.

Contributing to practice management, eg training, knowledge management, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

University Degree.

MSc in Information Security, IT or relevant subject (preferred)

A number of recognised information protection (eg CISSP, CISM, M. Inst IISP, etc) qualifications.

Ability to identify and assess complex information protection risks and controls.

Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation and project management skills.

Experience and Background

Proven experience in an information security consultancy role or an information security role in industry.

Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.

Experience of core systems, and an understanding of the a paricular industry.

Clear and demonstrable understanding of security, risk and IT standards, policies and frameworks.

A good understanding of cryptography and cryptographic key management.

A genuine interest and desire to work in the information security field.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Within the FS Technology Risk team, our work involves providing consultancy, assurance, advice and attestation to clients on their IT systems and processes. Our focus is on IT risk management, IT control testing, IT project assurance, as well as the technology and data aspects of regulation. This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, large scale consulting projects and as part of external and internal audit engagements.

- Delivery of value-added technology risk consulting, audit and assurance services to financial services clients
- Conducting fieldwork and managing small project teams in delivery of work centred on IT general controls, application controls, third party reporting (ISAE/SAS), independent project assurance
- Assist with scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables
- Building and managing excellent client relationships within IT functions
- Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentations
- Coaching and developing team members on engagements
Qualifications and Skills

- Experience of core financial services systems - including transaction processing and financial ledger systems
- Recognised accounting / auditing (eg CISA) qualification Experience in an IT risk and control / audit environment Degree/masters qualification in IT
Experience and Background

- Proven experience of successfully delivering IT assurance services to financial services industry clients
- Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes within financial services
- A good understanding of technology platforms
