Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Within the FS Technology Risk team, our work involves providing consultancy, assurance, advice and attestation to clients on their IT systems and processes. Our focus is on IT risk management, IT control testing, IT project assurance, as well as the technology and data aspects of regulation. This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, large scale consulting projects and as part of external and internal audit engagements.

- Proven experience of successfully leading and managing Data services to Financial Services clients.
- Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes within the FS market.
- Proven experience in identifying and managing sales opportunities.
- Experience in some of the following or similar technology areas:
o Data Analytics (SAS, SQL, SSIS Reporting Services, BI, Cubes)
o Data Quality (Trillium, Data Flux, Datanomic)
o Data Storage (SQL Server, Oracle, Terradata)
o Data Reporting (Excel)
- Understanding and experience in;
o Data Governance
o Data Strategies (Migration, storage, change etc)
o Fraud, AML, Financial reporting, SCV, Enterprise Data Management or any regulatory activities (Basel, FSCS, PPI etc)

Qualifications and Skills


- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering IT assurance services (including external/internal audit) to financial services industry clients within a Big 4
- Recognised accounting / auditing (eg CISA) qualification
- Experience in an IT risk and control / audit environment
- Degree/masters qualification in IT
Experience and Background


- Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes within financial services
- Experience of core financial services systems - including transaction processing and financial ledger systems
- A good understanding of technology platforms
- Ability to present on specific subjects to a large group of people
- Ability to identify and assess complex IT risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly to all levels
- Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships
