The Role

As an Applications Architect you will take a lead role in projects by owning the delivery or evolution of the Architecture to suit the purpose and outcome of that project.

The Information Protection practice provides advisory services to assess and deliver organisational security capabilities from a high-level view of the Information Security Management Processes through to specific assessments and control design services. The Role

As an architect you will take a lead role in projects that enhance KPMG’s ECM capability. Responsibilities

As an Advisor you will have the opportunity to take a proactive role in delivering engagements to senior staff within clients of ranging scope, scale and global footprint. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide advice across all aspects of ITSC and disaster recovery, including methodology, frameworks, and assessment and improvement approaches.

Typical client delivery work will include the following activities:

- Benchmarking of an organisation’s ITSC capability against peer group and industry standards.
- Assessing criticality of IT systems.
- Reviewing the current ITSC technical solutions from an architecture and implementation perspective.
- Identifying and understanding the computing and storage resources that are involved.
- Analyzing testing approaches and effectiveness.
- Developing improvement plans and measuring the effectiveness of the improvements that you have recommended.
- Reviewing IT critical systems identification, requirements and dependencies analysis.
- Writing and reviewing disaster recovery procedures and related IT infrastructure library based procedures.
- Resilience/recovery technical design, build and test.
- Full scope disaster recovery planning.
- Providing assurance services as an internal audit.

Additional Information/Qualifications

In addition to ITSC subject matter expertise and large data centre experience, we are specifically interested in considering candidates with the following backgrounds:

Industry: Evidence of architecture and design work, working in a FTSE 250 organisation.
Service provider: Significant evidence of experience working in a large scale systems integration or operational service provider environment, typical roles might include Solution Manager, Service Delivery Manager.
Consultancy: Manager or Manager equivalent experience, with experience in IT and ITSC or Disaster Recovery solutions.

A strong candidate would have the following skills and capabilities:

- Proven ITSC or DR (disaster recovery) experience, including evidence of leading significant projects.
- Track record of working in FTSE 250 organisations/ consulting / professional services.

Roles and Responsibilities

General responsibilities:

- Delivering the highest quality service to our clients, meeting and exceeding their expectations

Qualifications and Skills

Prince2/PMP qualification a plus Broad BI Tools experience e.g:

Leadership Experience in more than two of the following:

- Definition and implementation of end-to-end application and infrastructure architectures for more than one enterprise data warehouse

- Design and implementation of Business Intelligence/Information Management centres of excellence

Industry experience:

Within IT Advisory, Investment Management Advisors work between IT and the business to deliver technology-enabled change and lead the market in providing the following services:
- Project and programme management

- Programme and project assurance
- Support business development initiatives including bid proposal and contract/commercial management.
- Actively support with knowledge management and new proposition development
- Build and maintain client relationships

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will have some or all of the following skills/qualifications:
- Ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders at all levels within client organisations
- Experience of delivering high quality results on client projects (ideally with experience of leading a team)
- Ability to understand rapidly market and client issues and provide appropriate solutions
