We are looking for outstanding economists to join our E&R team, and in particular in the area of competition economics.

The successful applicant will play a key role in our sales’ efforts. S/he will build and maintain effective relationships with clients and will be able to discuss the wider KPMG offering with them. S/he will also quickly develop a strong internal network with KPMG experts in related fields or based in other countries. S/he will identify and act on business opportunities, both with existing and new client relationships.

As engagement senior manager, you will direct and lead multiple teams of 3+ people to execute contract compliance reviews, collecting, validating and reporting cost and revenue information from a range of third parties and using project management skills you will monitor and drive the team’s progress on your projects.

- Analysis and interpretation of contracts, cost, revenue data and researching solutions to technical challenges and contractual ambiguities.
- Reviewing the teams’ work throughout the project to ensure the highest quality deliverables with responsibility for the quality of the client deliverable.

One of the following:

Qualifications and Skills


Engineer or Quantity Surveyor qualification and good PQE with a good mix of commercial experience in relevant roles on major infrastructure projects, and preferably in addition relevant advisory / consulting / assurance experience.

Strong written, communication and presentation skills.
Good client relationship track record.
Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Job DescriptionYou will work as a sub-team leader within one or more client service teams delivering either Software License Compliance or Software Asset Management projects for our blue chip clients.

The role will include:

- Leading a small team of 1-3 junior staff in delivery of individual projects or project workstreams, normally reporting to a manager
- Planning and execution of test schedules to audit the completeness and accuracy of IT hardware and software inventories
- Interaction with a range of technical and managerial personnel from our clients and their customers
- Researching solutions to technical challenges and contractual ambiguities
- Use of project management tools to control and report on project status
- Preparing reports and other client deliverables VBA coding to automate data analysis tasks in Microsoft Excel Analysis of high volume sales transaction, software deployment and usage data using Microsoft Excel and Access
- Interviewing technical IT personnel in client organisations to document the architecture of technology solutions built on target software programs
- Using a range of tools (Active Directory, off the shelf discovery tools, ping, antivirus, CMDB) to inventory hardware and software deployed within a target IT environment
- Some travel to client and customer sites is required (typically 20-30% of your time). There may be some overseas travel.The Individual

Successful candidates will:

- Have obtained a degree or relevant qualification
- Be a highly motivated team player with strong communication skills
- Have experience of leading small teams
- Have advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (ideally including VBA coding) and familiarity with Microsoft Access Have experience of working within an IT environment either within businesses or as a consultant.
- Demonstrate a strong general understanding of information technology, ideally with a good understanding of Windows networks Previous experience of auditing Microsoft software licenses is desirable
